Be logical? Ok. Carr is the highest rated QB since? Jurkovich? Wimbush? Gunner Kiel? Kiel didn't stick around and then injuries did him in. The others were not as talented and were underdeveloped while at ND. Freeman's staff is better at coaching than Kelly's. Weiss was pretty good at coaching QBs. He had an early entry in Clausen and another in Quinn that could have gone early.
Gino Guidugli seems to be a better QB coach than Tommy Rees. So, the development of Carr should be so much better. Denbrock is a better OC than anyone ND has has since, well, Mike Denbrock. Of course everything is speculation at this point, however, IFeverything falls into place with this offense, Carr could very well be a good candidate for early entry.
While I don't think it's far fetched that Carr could be good enough to go early, even if he stayed for his senior year, whomever comes in at QB in 2027 will be a freshman while Carr is a senior. My point was that having the same type of QB that is waiting in the wings to be the next starter will be a good thing, as the offense will show more consistentcy from one year to the next.
