The Arizona QB, Fifita, is wearing a jersey that appears to have a hoodie hanging off the back. It is definitely not a padded collar similar to what linemen and linebackers wear. The why escapes me as it is 97 degrees at kickoff in Arizona Stadium. Since games start after dark and the humidity is around 10% it is not uncomfortable since there is usually an evening breeze, but wearing a hoodie has no apparent practical function that I can discern other than to make it easy for chasing defenders to pull him down from behind and maybe cause a career ending injury. Any thoughts?
