I've read some posters saying Miami stacked the box early so ND had to pass......complete nonsense.

Rewatched the first half and Miami played straight up most of time, except for short yardage.

1st & 2nd series 6 men in the box. 3rd & 4th series they brought a 7th man up a couple times, still not "stacking the box". 5th series they went to 7 & 8 in the box AFTER Price gashed em a couple times and still got gashed by Price's long run.

This BS line that ND had to pass because Miami stacked the box is just that, BS.

Denbrock went all Brian Kelly and outsmarted himself again, end of story. He planned for Miami trying to stop the run first and foremost (as most did, myself included) and had nothing when they didn't. Brian Kelly would be proud.

MF can talk all he wants about wanting to be a physical downhill rushing team but it's just lip service.

    • Totally agree Miami did not sell out on run. Between calls and poor blocking, they didn't have to [NT] - Turkish - 11:06am 9/3/25
    • I have to disagree slightly that it looked like a Kelly game plan other than throwing in the rain - wrdomerson - 9:40am 9/3/25
      • I hear ya, but BK had more than his share of head scratchers. NCST 2016 was certainly one - Clem - 1:26pm 9/3/25
        • I agree, BK certainly had those. - wrdomerson - 10:21pm 9/3/25
          • Truth. [NT] - Clem - 5:57am 9/4/25
      • Another terrible game plan in a big game nonetheless 😔😔 [NT] - Rocketman84 - 10:15am 9/3/25
