I agree with IB that the only reason the Irish kept it close the last two games was because of the talent on the field. As a fan who knows nothing, it seems to me that MF has to now be an important part of the defensive side of the ball. Practice drills, film sessions, defensive coaches meetings and game planning. All of it. This defense is not ready for Arkansas and / or USC just for starters. I don't want to hear coach speak. I don't want the players absolved from any of this either, but, their teachers failed them big time. Here we go again. Take it one game at a time. The Irish can worm their way into the playoffs winning their last 10 only to get bounced in the first round. Is that what we're looking at here?
