It's just disturbingly bad. That this wasn't detected in practice is a bad sign.

It seems there's something fundamentally wrong with the coaching, the offensive and defensive philosophies. Not to mention the coach's ability to teach fundamentals. Tackling, blocking, coverage positioning. The zone concept. I mean they just let the opponents WR's run loose and try to tackle them after the catch. When they should be making immediate contact to separate the ball. It just looks like poor coaching. Sure they're not executing, no shit Sherlock (not directed to you but to Freeman) But why?

And why wasn't it fixed. Why was it ever a problem? Why did it take so long to diagnose? Why do we continue to run zone if we can't do it? Maybe wait to practice it against a clearly inferior team as opposed to a top 20 match-up? Then there's Why aren't we getting pressure with 4 when we expected to? It just reeks of inexperience and poor coaching.

  • The crazy thing is they were worried about Carr, & not the rest of the team. - DiscoRick - 12:53am 9/15/25 (8) [View All]
    • Was thinking the same thing during the game. Maybe Carr and minchey are very good. For how bad - ndphysics - 6:53am 9/15/25

      • Literally all he had to do is not change anything and teach fundamentals. - DiscoRick - 8:16am 9/15/25
