Stroman said when he arrived back to the sideline after his sack on a delayed blitz, Ash told hm he was worried that he didn't remember the play call to blitz, but was happy he did. I guess Stroman's patience during the play had an already high-strung Ash's nerves bad. lol
Ash definitely seemed to have his guard up at yesterday's presser too. He wasn't trying to be apologetic. He damn sure wasn't open to the idea of any sort of personal evolution as a college coach regarding his preparation or in-game play calling since arriving back at the college level.
His response to the idea of that, "No, I've been doing this a while". It was nails on the chalkboard. That was different than Al Golden's approach from NFL to college.
Ash's response was disturbing to hear.
If you're single, maybe your tastes have changed with food, music, movies, etc. from where it was say 10 years ago. But, if everything is still the same for you then that's cool too because it's just you.
With that said, evolving when you're with someone (married/dating/coaching a team) also happens. However, evolving together with that person together as a TEAM is vital because two things can happen whether you do or you don't:
1. One person evolves from when you first met (arrived in locker rooms), but the other doesn't (refuses to compromise) then the (relationship) team typically falls apart.
2. Both people evolve together (team glory) and you both last until your dying day together (players would run through a wall for you).
If coach Freeman heard what I heard yesterday then Ash's time at ND will be short lived as it seems to have been just about every where else.
