ESPN has a writeup about his time as a QB across all of those schools (as well as three others in a similar position). It's actually a good read.
I've spoken a lot about his limitations throughout the years, but those statements were simply pointing out what was already evident.
Personally? I respect the man for being one Hell of a resilient guy who managed to make the most of his time when he was with us in 2022, and am grateful for his putting up decent numbers.
I knew he was already badly banged up ever since he played for that terrible Arizona State team (worst offensive line that year), and that he continued to take his share of hard hits, but didn't know the full extent of that slew of injuries that he has endured.
I understand that he simply loves playing football, and he wants to live his dream for as long as he can. However, at this stage, I'm guessing that it's time for him to live that dream in a more sensible manner, maybe as a mentor / coach, and live that dream through the players that he helps.
I don't want him to be limping around the rest of his life from all of these injuries that have been piling up, and with BGSU's offensive line being rather terrible, it's only going to get worse. It's one thing for a 6' 4", 250 lbs of solid muscle Cam Newton to take a lot of hits, and keep going, but for someone who is 5' 10", 180 lbs, that's like trying to pull a horse cart with a subcompact car.
