And head to head isn't the end all be all. Part of the equation is who is the best team now.

Earning a spot is part of it, but being competitive is as well. As it stands, with no ND in the playoffs, Ohio St. Strolls to another Natty. There's no competition in the current field. Not that Ohio St. Is unbeatable. They are B+, but the rest of the field is grade C to B-.

Indiana is overrated lacks top end talent played a weak schedule, Oregon got beat by Indiana. Georgia isn't as strong as in the past. Bama got beat by FSU, a shadow of their past glory. Texas Tech and BYU are a joke. Oklahoma will get smashed by Ohio St.

Personally, I hope if ND doesn't make it that Miami does, as they are the best competition for Ohio St. now.
And we sure don't need OSU winning another title.
