Starting in the early 1900s and ending in 1926, ND tried but was denied entry into the Western Conference (Big10) three times. In fact, there was a Michigan boycott against scheduling games with ND. The jealousy and hatred does still exist IMHO. The negativity and slander by talking heads just a few short weeks ago really exposed the bias. So, next time you hear some sports dude or dudette whining about ND joining a conference, make them eat their words with these facts.
