My dad was a 1947 graduate at age 26 because WW II intervened. He loved IU basketball especially but always followed the football team, too.
Think about it. Two years ago IU football was its same terrible self, one of the worst programs in college football history. Today they're undefeated and ranked #1. This is easily one of the best and most remarkable stories in sports history.
Their legendary play-by-play man Don Fisher has seen a lot of bad football in his 53 years of announcing. I'm happy for him and my dad, who would be 104 if he were still around today.
