5 undergraduate years is the rare exception, not the norm. Student-athletes have to apply and get approval for a 5th year of undergraduate course study.
Will there be exceptions? Sure. But, for example, how many 5th year undergrads (who aren't transfers) are there on the current roster? Maybe 1?
