They are losing a lot of where their money was being spent, with basically 2 star kids behind them that they can’t rely on replacing and who are not demanding big NIL dollars. So they have a bigger need and bigger budget.
Plus, they are a fanbase that is tasting success and they know exactly why the success has happened for them. Their NIL is at a peak level.
ND has recruiting really well and has guys that can backfill those positions at a much higher level. Using the extreme as an example, ND could have portaled over Love 2 years ago when he was a Freshman with only 385 yards who many consider fast, but runs too straight up and may need more time to develop. ND knew they had something and didn’t. It paid off.
Hoping ND feels that same about their young talent.
