Love Carr and he turned out great for his first year. We took an unnecessary risk this year and in

the end, it bit us. Breaking in a QB with no college experience along witha DC that didn't have a great past. One who had been away from the college game for a while, compounded the risk at QB.

Live and learn. ND still should have gone to the playoffs, but the two losses were clear risks in the Spring and avoidable based on the depth chart and all the other moving parts. We just chose to take the riskier route and the worst case happened.

  • Nobody is going to want to play us in the playoffs next year. What a roster. [NT] - ndphysics - 12:30pm 1/15/26 (8) [View All]

      • Agreed. No one wanted to play the Irish this year. ND vs IU would have been classic. [NT] - ELP - 1:51pm 1/15/26
    • PREDICTION: SEC/ACC Strategy: pack the CFP Selection Committee with anti-ND members to keep ND out. [NT] - FoolBear - 12:33pm 1/15/26
      • Yeah let’s keep an undefeated ND team out while No 1 in both polls - ndphysics - 12:38pm 1/15/26
        • Definitely need to avoid an early season implosion this year. [NT] - DiscoRick - 12:40pm 1/15/26
          • I don't see an implosion against Wisconsin, Rice, Michigan St, and Purdue. - AlbanyIRISH - 3:07pm 1/15/26

        • ND could never be bumped out even though they had been ranked high enough all year..... too soon [NT] - FoolBear - 12:39pm 1/15/26
