ND's new stance is more about being able to improve regular season scheduling..

And remaining independent.

I think the schedule will be better under this system. The upcoming series with Texas and Alabama won't disappear, and new high-end opponents will be scheduled. Additionally, the cowards from SC will return.

With more wiggle-room to make the playoff, big names will schedule each other more often to generate higher revenue.
