19th birthday

Thus, no collegiate player can be older than 24 years of age, unless he qualifies for one of the two exceptions:

1) Military service

or

2) Religious mission


There is a third category, but no men's football player will qualify for maternity leave.

No more medical redshirts, no more greyshirts, etc.

Once the clock starts, you have five years to finish your collegiate athletic career, unless you have one of the above exceptions.
