The reason why his rating got knocked down after reclassifying, was that he had missed a good chunk of his sophomore year due to two injuries.

His ankle injury in the summer of 2025 kept him out for almost three months, and he had a bit of a shoulder injury (non-throwing arm) in the later part.

He still managed some nice numbers in just four games, and looked like there were no lingering effects from those injuries.

His being so highly rated was mostly based off his freshman year, where he put on a very impressive display, including effortlessly tossing 60 yard bombs, while being patient in the pocket.
