It's getting a bit of a Gillum vibe, in fact.
I hope it gets clarified:
1 - why he apparently didn't tell the 911 person directly that there was an intruder and that he was in danger (she had to read between the lines?)
2 - why the intruder allowed him to use the restroom (and then call 911)
3 - why the intruder was in his underwear
On the surface it would appear that the person may have been well know to PP?
Very weird.

....usually a policeman would have shot with gun drawn and the perp going for the victim. But Dem policy has undoubtedly undermined the confidence of police in SF as elsewhere. They know that they no longer have the govt behind their back. They know that not only can they be sued agressively (a Dem pushed reality) as well as prosecuted for a hate crime if they fire that weapon regardless of how good their intention.. So, it looks like they hesitated as they processed it all. A lifetime of policy pushing influencing a split second decision that had huge implications for him.

The ironies are many. The media will move on quickly as this focuses people on crime
Dems defunded SF police, but obviously, those left respond very quickly to the richest neighborhoods.
Do the rest of the less fortunate get the same anymore?
“The Washington Post confirmed that a voluminous blog written under DePape’s name and filled with deeply antisemitic writings — as well as pro-Trump and anti-Democratic posts — was registered to a house in Richmond, Calif. where DePape lives, according to neighbors.
In a single day earlier this month, the blog had seven new posts. The titles included: “Balcks Nda jEwS,” “Were the Germans so Stupid?” “Who FINANCED Hitler’s rise to Power” “Gas chamber doors” and “I guess this is as good a time as any.” The latter implored Trump to pick Rep. Tulsi Gabbard as his running mate for 2024.
On Oct. 19, the blog included writings about Kanye West: “Ya I remember the backlash and insults when you came out in support of Trump.”
In five additional posts that day, the blog published antisemitic videos, demeaning caricatures of Jews and expressed disbelief in the Holocaust. Two days ago, it was back at politics. A video was posted about the Steele dossier, and comments were made when the video was removed by YouTube.”
Why would anyone be skeptical?

Trump + social media has been the catalyst egging on the nutjobs.
And you still believe January 6th was a scream.
looking to kill him. Rand Paul has been assaulted and harassed. If I recall, Schumer, Maxine Walters, Booker, Holder come to mind of some Dems that have made comments that incite the far left nut jobs. Don’t act like it’s one sided.
...I find nothing funny about Pelosi's attack. I do find your double standard reaction to it funny though. i also find the whole episode ironic. An illegal alien hiding in a Dem Sanctuary City attacks an egregiously rich (from most likely insider trading) Dem home where they have also defunded the police (but not for the Pelosi house where responses are given priority). The home owner does not have a gun to protect himself (nor do I) while the Dem has repeatedly attacked others for wanting to own guns for just such protection (their choice). Dem MSM goes in to overdrive and.....voila! "Trump's fault"
TDS.
I am capable of both sadness for a fellow human being and appreciating the irony and stupidity of others at the same time. I am complex. You are not.

We’ve seen t(e Dems go into their political anti gun rants at the schools while they were still grieving childrens deaths….I am sure they don’t like their own rules against them though Rule #2.
thwarted home invasions...that's what the data shows...btw, if the NRA 'allowed' legislators to authorize the CDC to research this situation as well, the statistics would likely be even more in favor of banning guns...that's why the NRA fights such reasonable and rational research.

I suppose that makes sense where knives, ropes, meds and tall buildings don't exist.
of committing suicide...BUT, the lethal effectiveness, and immediate availability of a gun kept in the home makes it the primary means of committing suicide, by both men and women (see link)...please don't try to refute this.
So, one more reason not to have guns in the home.
Link: https://sprc.org/scope/means-suicide
Also, you dodged the "specifics" on Afghanistan below.
If you make it easier to commit suicide, then more of the people who are considering it will be able to do so...and the data proves that guns do make for more suicides...it's that simple...but then there are always folks who still can't comprehend logic.
As for "Afghanistan", I don't know what you're talking about...do all of us a favor and spell it out...I'll be happy to respond.
The car made it easier for them to drunk drive! Okay, fine, so let's eliminate cars.
If your goal is prevention, there may be something to guns making it easier to commit suicide or that using a gun makes suicide more 'successful' but that isn't all guns are used for. You're isolating a single variable in a multivariate problem. Usually this isn't helpful in finding solutions.
On Afghanistan, you asked for specifics, I provided them and you are ignoring what I had already posted.
evidence I provided shows...so that's a big strike against making guns easily available...i.e. they are more dangerous than helpful to society in that respect.
Now let's turn to protection of the home from bad guys trying to invade it...the data clearly shows that there are many more accidental deaths to children, as well as spousal deaths due to impassioned arguments due to guns in the home...as opposed to thwarted invasions...again, a societal strike against guns in the home.
Every nation populated by human beings like here in the U.S. that has strong restrictions on gun ownership also has a much lower per capita firearms related death rate...this is not a complicated calculation.
-----------------------
Now, as regards Afghanistan...I did a search of your recent posts on the matter...seems to me that your comments are actually Tim Kennedy's on 'Joe Rogan'...is that right?...btw, I watched it. Unlike some others on the board, you deserve a reply...assuming you were/are relying on that JR segment, here are my thoughts...
>Tim Kennedy's comments were centered on the problems in getting democracy loving, and U.S. supporting, Afghanis out of the country...
>Trump never cared about getting ANY Afghanis out...back in 2017 he 'neutered' the Special Visa program that would have made it much easier to extract those people, even on short notice.
>Trump set a ridiculously short period of time with his Taliban deal...just a little over three months from when Biden took office...btw, as we've seen, there was not much co-ordination on the Transition, and that no doubt extended to the Afghan situation...(Note: DJT reportedly tried to make it even worse by ordering an exit on Jan. 15th)
- ONLY 2,500 TROOPS were on the ground for the entire country when Biden took over...no way to increase the number without breaking the deal and having the Taliban attack U.S. troops.
- All our assets in Afghanistan needed to be removed, especially those at Bagram...assets that couldn't be removed needed to be made as useless as possible to the Taliban (and others).
and that was a priority mission as I understand it.
>Biden bought more time by negotiating an August/September withdrawal...
- Biden was able to cobble together the assistance of other countries to allow over 120,000 Afghanis out of the country...not ZERO...was it pretty?...absolutely not, but w/o more troops it was a
Huge accomplishment compared with what it would have been under Trump's total lack of planning for that objective.
I could go on, but you should get the picture...Tim Kennedy's book would look a whole lot worse if Biden simply implemented the Trump Deal...probably an order of magnitude greater number of murders of Afghanis by the Taliban...and that's what the whole "Afghanistan" issue was all about.

some of the world's most respected scientific journals, like 'Nature"...SciAm is also the oldest continuously published journal in America...since 1845.
The data in the article shows that more guns, and guns in the home, only add to unnecessary deaths...you are welcome to try and refute that finding with compelling evidence...in fact, if you want to be taken seriously, you'll need to do just that.
