In spite of Scranton Joe's very clear remarks.

Totally in control. #25th.

Thank God. Otherwise, how were we going to charge all those EV's?

Does Biden have any idea what is going on? The coal thing, the oil thing.... 25th Amednment, anyone? We know you'd be calling for his removal if it were Trump. Any consistency on the Left at all?

Evil preaches tolerance until it is dominant, then it tries to silence good.

For this board, the question is "Does Ned have any idea what's going on when it comes to Energy?"...

for you, Iggle, et al...do you know the timeframe for shutting down those coal plants?...didn't think so. The truth is that 'eventually' they WILL be shutdown as we bring on Nuclear and Renewable power plants,,,and for some applications a few Natural Gas plants...that's going to take the rest of this decade and into the 2030's...not tomorrow...you need to get your head out of your bubble and stop exposing your lack of knowledge.

btw, this transition is going on around the world...not just in the USA (see link for the EU's commitment to dropping Fossil Fuels for heat and power)....never mind China's program that's underway to build 220 new Nuclear Plants...you can Google that info for yourself if you ever get the desire to learn about a topic you take a position on.

How long is it going to take for you to comprehend the magnitude...and certainty...of this change?...don't be a slow learner...it can only hurt you.

Oh, and just to be clear on this thread's topic...Joe is right...coal plants will indeed be shutdown all across this country...the only question is WHEN...which neither he, nor anyone else can predict with absolute certainty.

You clowns have no plan. No transition plan of any kind.

It's all just useless arm waving. Gluing yourselves to paintings. Subsidizing $80k Teslas like complete morons.

There is no plan for getting from Point A to Point Z. That is clear from what is happening in Europe and here as well. Oh, we'll harness the power of the wind! No, you won't morons.

Our mentally deficient president has drained the SPR for political ends. Much of that oil went straight to China. Democrats can't be bothered to consider the consequences. Enjoy your hard-earned L today, you mental midgets.

Stop ranting for a moment and think about this...we are (currently) a democracy...it takes VOTES to

get a plan put into action...and on this issue, it should come as no surprise to you that we are miles away from consensus on even the need for a plan, and largely due to the GOP....but fortunately, the Democratic Party IS taking necessary steps forward...i.e. fund the 'Supply Side' infrastructure...e.g. GEN-IV Nuclear Plants, which I've spoken about fairly often, and Renewable Power sources (Wind/Solar)...Charging Stations, etc...then the "Demand Side", e.g. subsidies for EVs, Solar Panels, etc.

Now we need the other half of the country to join in and make this most vital change happen much more quickly...for the ultimate benefit of all...remember, this is not China or Russia...we need to come together with VOTES to make this change happen...the greater the margin in favor...the more secure and rapid the TRANSITION...that's just the way things work here in the USA.

On a personal level I'll be 'lobbying' with my local Congressmen/women to resolve public issues related to acceptance of the nuclear power aspect of this transition...it sure would help if you and others on this board who profess support for that technology would at least email your representatives with statements of support as well.

I'm not even convinced there needs to be a transition.
