more support is needed, but this should definitely make a difference...lots of actual battlefield experience available from U.S. trainers.

Thank God for Joe Biden and the Democrats.

Some of them are so technically advanced from what they are used to it will be even longer before they can use them in battle.
I think Biden and NATO leaders should start preparing Ukraine with long range armament that can reach Moscow and industrial hubs. They will need to strike some fear into Putin and the Russian people who support this war. It’s well passed the time Ukrainians hit back at the invaders in their own country.
Hopefully an Abrams doesn't get fuel starved and stranded whilst the Ukrainians, trying to save the day, put diesel fuel in it thereby ending any chance to retrieve it from a potential overrun position.
and they know the difference between JP4 and Diesel fuel...they are also getting outstanding training from the U.S. on how to properly utilize each system (e.g. HIMARS)...I wouldn't worry about that part of the equation.
Fun Fact: I actually had a hand in engineering the original drive train on the Abrams tank which at the time used our company's turbine engine (a knockoff of the Vietnam era Huey engine).
especially Vlad...also, regarding the genuine hurdles you mention....from your link...

Spencer said he remains confident that Ukraine—with the support of its allies—will overcome any such obstacles.
"Ukraine has surprised the world since day one, not just in their fighting but in their innovation to solve problems," he said. "Despite all these hurdles, I am sure there are plans to overcome them."

IMO, better to give this a try than not...we shall see what happens...at the very least, this announcement has got to mess with any plans the Russian military is putting together.
btw, they could still use some experienced attack pilots...can you still do the "Hick" maneuver?
As mentioned in the briefing to the country.
But yeah, it's war and there are battles that will be fought with these tanks. What could possibly go wrong?
I mean, it's just a stroll down a country lane.

Before he’s adequately prepared…btw, all the tanks are not Abrams or Leopards, so the numbers still make a significant difference.
As for attacking Moscow…risky business for Zelensky…would likely turn the majority of Russians into war hawks…
One of his usual gems
