This is not criticism... he's still the greatest all around player... so far.

But he's played fewer games than Kareem. So there's that.

AND..he won three consecutive national championships (and would have won four if they'd let freshmen play in those days) and he was a record three-time MVP of the NCAA Tournament.
But most impressively, his presence led to a elimination of the dunk while he was in college.

Bill Russell
MJ
Kareem
Wilt
Big O
Kobe
Duncan
Bird
Magic
IMHO....I can't say that L James is the greatest. Top 10 yes, top 5 maybe. Greatest, no. Again just my opinion.
Some guys just stand above the rest.
Jordan, Bird, Russell, Jabbar
And this guy.

I would include the following at the top of any list of great basketball players.
Bill Russell
Wilt Chamberlain
Bill Walton
Lewis Alcindor (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar)
Larry Bird
David Thompson
Michael Jordan
Could have had 52, 72, you name it.
Watched for a couple hours. In between games he was with 3 not good looking woman but 3 Smoking Hotties.

I think Lebron could as well. Same with Curry, and several others in the current era.
I believe there was an asterisk next to the Maris HR record for the longest time. Baseball ruled that asterisk be placed next to the HR record because Maris played in more games , had more ABs, and more PAs. But, magically, that type conversation never came up when Hank Aaron broke Babe's all time HR record. Or Pete Rose breaking Cobb's record. Different strokes for different folks.
