if you want to own an "Assault Rifle"...go through the checks that these guys do...again, there is NO NEED for any of this...just guttural PLEASURE...
(no message)
isn't part of that.
with military firepower just start up a “Big Sandy” shooting range where you can blast all kinds of inanimate objects with weapons you only dreamed of …the weapons stay there….sort of like going to a bowling, but you can’t bring your own weapons…including Assault Rifles.
The overwhelming reasons for ownership are for PLEASURE…not need.
Billions of other people live comfortably and safely in democracies without easy access to firearms …time to put the public safety over pleasure.
Not sure why you are.
The guns in those videos are not available to normal citizens. What in the world are you talking about?
It’s all for giggles…no one needs them.
Tell me why you think Assault Rifles are NEEDED…
AR (Armalite Rifle) platform firearms are not assault rifles. They are civilian rifles (semi-auto...legal).
M-16s, M-4s, etc., are assault rifles (auto/burst...illegal).
M-1s are (old) battle rifles (semi-auto...legal).
from the linked article...
--------------------
“As the former Commanding General of the Infantry Center at Fort Benning and Chief of Infantry, I know a bit about weapons. Let me state UNEQUIVOCALLY — For all intents and purposes, the AR-15 AND RIFLES LIKE IT are weapons of war." (emphasis mine)
--------------------
Also, when we covered this issue previously, I presented a video in which an active duty Marine Gunnery Sergeant explains why the AR-15 is truly an "Assault Rifle"...your argument is pure "Trope".

ARs are exactly the type of firearm meant to be protected by the Second Amendment.
They are not assault rifles, though. That is a military term that you are mis-using.
That term actually has nothing to do with this debate. You are just trying to appeal to the emotions of the undecided reader. That is you normal way: mislead the undecided so they decide for your party.
with them...they don't need them...we've got Police Forces and National Guards to cover any serious 'Emergencies'....they are only available now to satisfy the desire for 'Pleasure' among public owners...they are even marketed with videos of soldiers using them in battle...there are adults in this room...join us.
In case of emergency.
They are needed for the same reason fences and security cameras are needed. They are deterrents.

that might warrant the need to protect one's family and neighbors. Semi-auto rifles are a tool.
You could claim I don't need a sawsall, but how do you know? I've read of people using sawsalls to cut holes in the roof to help them escape rising flood waters. And I've read about situations where 3 or more people invade people's homes.
Different tools for different emergencies.
You don't need such weapons...we've got police forces and National Guards to take care of any "Emergencies"...
and who doesn't acknowledge the usefulness of guns as a deterrent, and you want me to take that as a hard fact? Come on, man.
...pellets. Worse than an AR at close range, because it can fire so many with just a single trigger pull. Perfectly legal, except now the Governess in NY State wants ALL NEW purchases of semi-auto shotguns to be registered.
The grab has only just begun.
With 300 million firearms in private citizens' hands, there is no way confiscation will ever be completely complied with on a National level.
taken away and in your frenzied attempt to hold onto them, you invoke what amounts to a logical fallacy...of course, not every single illegal gun will be removed...didn't happen in Australia or Canada...BUT, their societies saw dramatic reductions in gun homicides and suicides...that's what's called "Progress"...something that you seem to have a problem with.
Canadians are Uber liberals. They have been mind-washed by 2 generations of Trudeaus...Pierre from '68-'79 and again from '80-'84. Sonny-boy Justin from 2015 to the present.
Non-restricted guns include regular rifles and shotguns. (A licence, obtained through a process that includes background checks and safety training, is needed to own any type of gun in Canada.)
Canadian Carrying and transporting a restricted firearm regulations:
Once you have a licence to possess a restricted gun, you can get authorization to carry the gun outside of locations it is licensed for if you can prove to officials that you use it as part of your profession, or that you need it to protect your own life or the lives of others.
To transport a restricted gun from one location to another, you must get an authorization from your province or territory's Chief Firearms Officer.
Australian gun laws allow for licensed ownership as follows:
Examples of the firearms in the five licensing categories are:
Category A: rimfire rifles, and single and double barrel shotguns.
Category B: single shot and repeating centre fire rifles.
Category C: semi automatic rimfire rifles with a magazine capacity no greater than 10 rounds; and semi-automatic or pump action shotguns with a magazine capacity no greater than 5 rounds.
Category D: self-loading centre fire rifles.
Category H: handguns
such as in Canada and Australia...
Note that I've posted before how I ran a BSA rifle range as a teenager...I paid close attention to the NRA guidelines at that time and there were no incidents...all the kids had fun and learned from me how to safely handle rifles (e.g. 22 Long Rifle ammo) and get their merit badges. I'm not against target shooting or hunting with appropriate firearms...anything else unnecessarily ups the risk of serious injury and death to the populace for no good reason.
We have all the SWAT Teams and National Guard installations we need to fulfill any 2nd Amendment concerns...this childish pursuit of pleasure at the cost of many thousands of lives lost and turned upside down has to stop...it's time to make adult decisions...'Pleasure' is not more important than citizens' 'Lives'...and while it is Pollyannaish to expect complete reductions, we are derelict in our duty to leave this situation as is.
If only everyone in America were so open minded about telling our Deep State gun czar where the weapons are being kept
this they can get going with the laws to take away American freedoms.
And you're old enough now to be on the death panel so Obama will get rid of you too.

Or flood insurance. Or a lock on your front door.
Also, those guys are shooting actual assault rifles. Those are already outlawed. You can't get those without a special permit.
guns are more dangerous to the inhabitants and neighbors (see link)...also, Child Victims far outnumber "Bad Guys" when it comes to "Home Defense"...
