where I am with Fr. Hesburgh during my days at ND.
It's just one of those good feeling moments where we remember that particular moment in time.
I didn't know the photo existed. I thank my sister for sending it to me.

I was fortunate to have had some time with him.
The photo which was sent to me is a complete surprise to me. I didn’t know of its existence. I knew photos were always being taken of him but didn’t realize something like this would end up as a part ND’s archives.
Knowing and seeing this just made my day. Okay, my month.
Peace
fortunately, years later circumstances presented themselves and my wife and I met him twice...at our first meeting, before we got started that weekday morning, he asked if we had gone to Mass yet...upon learning that we hadn't, he asked if we'd mind joining him in the small chapel adjoining his office there in the Library...without hesitation, we accepted the offer...both my wife and I recited the day's readings and then the rest of the celebration became a blur...afterward, when our business was concluded, he penned a treasured note to our copy of "God, Country, Notre Dame" which we keep safe and secure.
About a year later, we had another meeting and this time I came prepared with the gift of a very fine coffee table book on the SR-71 aircraft, which he had flown in...thank heaven I was able to provide just a scintilla of the joy and pleasure that he had given us. To me, Fr. Ted is a modern saint...I could go on about my reasons, but this is your thread.
Congrats on your memories with Fr. Ted!

It was a simple fact I felt good in sharing.
One way or the other you mislead people.
Sharing lies with people is not joyful.
