I particularly love the petrified look on the face of the Mack employee as Joe asks him if he can open the door, undoubtedly after the employees were told in advance, in no uncertain terms, not to allow Joe to touch any machine in the plant, big or small.
"Uh...uh...we...we don't have the key!" Can you imagine if they had let Joe into the cab of the truck? "You guys don't mind if I fire it up, do you? Hey, what does this button do? Let me fire it up, here. Why does this have two brake pedals?"
"Mr. President. Mr. President. Mr. President! Can you just stop the truck? Uh, oh boy..."
Truck jumps forward twice, then accelrates toward people and then the wall. Secret Service agents attempts to jump onto the hood.
"gotchas" are a staple of political strategy...I get that...but this one?? He asks a simple question..."Can I look inside?"...gets told 'No'...and this is the big punch line??
If Biden gets his bi-partisan Infrastructure Bill, it's going to take a much better efforts than this to sway voters in the 2022 mid-terms.
That person may now be the leader of the free world...
....but you're right...the Biden handlers and jill have to keep their head on a swivel with Ol' Joe.
and the cameras would show their competitors some of the gear.
