Jeez, you would think the first Aleppo snafu would motivate him to take a short peek at foreign policy. I know it's not what Libertarians do, but...

Yeah ... but Hillary makes voting the dude a sure thing!!

they picked them
It was a divided field of a tiny piece of the total electorate that gave him to us.
Die hard partisans show up for primaries in far greater numbers than moderates. Less than 10% of the country voted in each.
Instead of saying the now famous, "What is Aleppo?" with that awful sing-song tone, he could have asked for clarification, "What specifically would you like to know?" He would have gotten more context that would have jogged his memory. (I haven't seen the full interview, so I don't know if there was any context leading up to it. He has said that he thought Aleppo was an acronym for something. If there was no context, I could see how he might think it was a drug, or a law, or something.)
The "pick a favorite leader" question should have been dodged, "You know Chris, I don't think it would be appropriate for me to list any current leader as my favorite. I plan on working with all of them in the best interest of the United States." It was a stupid question.
Same with Palin's favorite news magazine question. She should have said, "Who reads magazines for news? This isn't the 1980's." Instead, she felt constrained to answer the question. She probably got zero news from magazines, but felt like she had to come up with one. The first step of the politician should be to analyze the question, not work on the answer. Don't give the journalists so much power.
to discover her world view -
Her answer was she read all of them and had great appreciation for the press... She did come across as constrained at all - just dumb as shit.
It wasn't some nefarious question or "gotcha" question. It was a slow pitch softball she should have knocked out of the park. She. It showed she hadn't a clue - and the scary part of that is, it's likely she didn't read anything ever.

You are worse than Hillary.
This is a lot like your "secondary facts".
He was unaware of the city at the heart of the biggest humanitarian disaster of the last four years. And he couldn't name one world leader.
Hard to come to any conclusion other than the man is a moron.
What's amazing to me (and what my post related to) is that he makes very little effort to develop the skills necessary to cover up his stupidity. Usually people who get elected to public office have developed techniques to cover up their stupidity.
I would certainly consider voting libertarian, especially this year. Then I see him...and realize that he is an even bigger fucktard than the other two.
So I get mad....why didn't they nominate someone better? And did you see their nominating convention? Johnson was easily the least crazy one.
He seems like a really nice guy. But he is an idiot.
Explain this to me.
I don't know if he's trying to be funny or down to earth or what, but this certainly don't help that's for sure. On one hand it's amazing what can kill a candidacy and in the other what can apparently not matter at all.
so their hitman made him an offer he couldn't refuse- act like the world's dumbest pot head or sleep with the fishes. He wisely chose the former.
The world needs more pot heads in power.
