He didn't get his way with kissing her despite his persistence, so he denigrated her for the rest of the USO tour and then humilaited her sexually while she slept - knowing that the photo would be given to her after she got back. it was a pure sexual intimidation and abuse case.
he should resign.
Dems: "Oh, he was just joking". I wonder if that defense would work for Moore in their eyes?

the stage kiss, a French kiss, without consent, is sexual harassment.
What do you think of Trump's 19 accusers, and his own admissions on tape?
Trump's position has been that all 19 of them are liars, and the tape was just locker room talk. Do you agree?

As to Franken, my guess is there may be more unwanted kissing stories.
But, as to what is presently before us, Franken tongued the hottie while they were rehearsing a kissing scene. I believe her version, but Al’s mindset in real time, may not have been as egregious as it was from her perspective.
The photo was an asshole stunt, but she is wearing a Kevlar vest, and he clearly was In joke mode, albeit a poor joke.
It was not his penis.
She was an adult.
Al was not in public office.
On the current facts, it is a matter for Minnesota enlightened voters, who will regard it as a negative.
However, to compare today’s Al Franken story as equivalent to the creepy and voluminous allegations re Roy Moore, illustrates your inability to engage in rational and objective thought.

SOLD!
The voters of Alabama will take care of Moore.
If you do, you should ask one of them if they think these two cases are the same.
I'll bet most fathers of teen girls would feel the two situations are not really analogous.
But maybe the fathers of teen girls you know are cut from different cloth than the guys I know.
In general I agree that what Moore did was worse b/c the victims were underage; however, Franken's offense should cause him to resign immediately.
I have said several times on this that I thought it best that Franken resign. I carry no brief for him. Indeed, why would I?
The question of who is "worse" between Franken and Moore doesn't really interest me at all. The poster I was responding to had been banging on at length on the subjects of "hypocrisy" and "consistency" and my discussion (such as it was) with him primarily was around those issues.
we don't know how serious Moore's case is.
....and you don't know how serious that is?

false imprisonment of underage girls.
......and she was unconscious in that picture.
but let's call it a wash and remove them both.

That she voted for Trump to gain gravitas if she is lying.
Ask yourself this:
Why does it matter how she voted & why is the media and she telling you this?
Answer: to sound more credible
He wrote a skit where he gets to kis her on the mouth. She said that she knew where he was going with that one, but she planned to turn her head to the side. Then he wanted to "practice the skit" and specifically practice the mouth kiss scene. She declined and he pushed and persisted and demanded. Finally she figured it it would get him to shut up, she acquiesced to what she thought would be a light kiss. "But before i knew what was happening he grabbed the back of my head and mashed his face against my mouth and stuck his tongue down my throat"
Tweeden then pushed him away abd told him to never, ever try that kind of crap again.
During the actual skit, she turned her head to the side an dthat made franken angry.
The rest of the tour he belittled her and made her miserable whenever possible. And when she fell asleep on the plane, he posed for the picture while grabbing her breasts while she was unconscious - knowing that the picture would be given to her later when she got home - to show her that he still ended up getting her way with her whether she liked it or not.
Franken attempted to use his position to get sexual favors, and he punished her for not complying.
He should resign now.
If the accusations against Moore are true, then he should resign also. In Franken's case, they are proven with pictures. I would be satisfied if they would both move aside - nothing less than both.
You are rationalizing Franken's behavior because you like him.
After a week of your conspicuous absence from the Open Board, and after a half-dozen women have come forward against Moore, plus reports of his being banned from a mall where, (as an assistant DA, mind you) he cruised the mall looking for teenies to pick up and molest, the father of teenage girls finally can get it up to say Moore should step down "if the allegations are true."
So much for "consistency," and it's handmaiden, "hypocrisy."
I absolutely think Franken should resign if Leeann's story is true. And, if her story is true, I have no doubt he will resign, long before any ethics investigation convenes.
I don't think he should resign based on that photograph, however, just like I don't think Moore should step down based solely on something he wrote in a 40-year old high school yearbook.
By the way, do you think Trump should resign? After all, 17 women have accused him, and he bragged on tape about grabbing young girls by the pussy. I don't recall you ever saying you thought Trump's behavior should exclude him from the presidency. I know you wouldn't want to be inconsistent.
I said IF the charges are true, then he should step down. But there are several issues:
1) Moore denies it (Franken admits the picture is authentic and how could he really not anyways?)
2) Moore's accusers brought this out after the "no go back point" for the GOP, and because of this along with a long history of politcial trickery and October Surprises by the Dems, I think that there is a very real chance that the accusations could be false.
3) Details about the accusers and their links to the Dem Party are disturbing
4) Moore is a lightning rod and has been through elections for 40 years and never a peep of this until now? Smells fishy. especially when his temprary 2 year spot is coveted by the Dems who have designs on impeaching trump - and that s a vote that they will need.
5) if the WPo and the left had real concern for women and not politics, they wouldn't have sat on this story until it was a political poison pill at the end of the election. by doing so, they theoretically were exposing more innocents to possible harm by not exposing it right away. And don't even pretend to tell me that the timing was just a coincidence.
6) Franken's victim was unconscious, and he had the nerve to be criticizing Moore and Trump.
You certainly are making up for lost time today.
But, I must note that, when you were called out about Moore on Saturday, you responded, and your response was not that you were involved with "real world issues."
In fact, you pleaded that it was gameday, I believe. So we know that you were watching the game, and we know that you were reading the board. You had the both the time and the inclination to respond, so you certainly could have opined that Moore should step down "if the allegations are true." That is, you had every opportunity to say that, if it was what you actually thought.
Consistency, old man. Consistency.
If you're not consistent, other board members might start thinking you're just a lying sack of shit, as I do.

In Moore's case, there still is some doubt.
Franken admitted to a tasteless photo where no actual assault occurred.
But yes, Moore is the innocent one here because he denies. Like Bill Clinton.

Don't pretend that schumer did this all on his own.

In fact, I said the opposite to Frank above.
My post was in response to your silly post.
Why should Moore resign, but Franken get due process?
So much for hypocrisy.

If you are going to expect Moore to step aside with no conclusive evidence, then you need to do the same with Franken.
Who cares if he gets a slap on the wrist and you still get his votes & that is what this is really all about with the Dems (or they would have cared about Juanita Broderick when she told everyone that she was raped by Bill Clinton and that Hillary railroaded and discredited her after the fact for coming forward).
