Going to DC. We had 47 folks from our church attend the rally for decency and kindness. Peace.

Reality is whatever you choose it to be. (Just like he views morality and the interpretation of the Constitution, Conor os a relativist). Now, in a post below he misunderstood and thought that I was telling him that his liberal gal march was unconstitutional so I need to make it clear that it isn’t or he will use this as another chance to show outrage.
My wife and son marched yesterday in Women’s March in DC.
Beautiful January weather. Good exercise. Most importantly, it was an opportunity to spend the day with family.
They had a ball.

It’s great that you feel empowered by marching, but don’t be mislead by your march’s name. 50% of the women don’t agree with the values that you guys espouse, and my wife’s comment as she watched a report on this on CNN was “it’s an embarrassing time to be a women. They should’nt pretend to speak for us all”.
America = Individual freedom = individual expression.
Try to keep up.
.....your march is misnamed the “Women’s March” since half of women in this country don’t support it.
Your March is also comprised,of lots of people with different causes who can all give the false appearance that their particular cause has more motivated people in it than it really does.
I am not surprised by your perspective on the March. You consider morality to be relative and you consider the Constitution to be relative (a living, breathing document),so why not a simple march?
Expression is fine, but misrepresentation is not. A more accurate name to consider for the March would be “The Combined March of Various Liberal Causes and Sore Losers”.
Do we understand you to say that a protest march is unlawful or unconstitutional, if not supported by > 50% of the population?
[BTW, the overwhelming majority of women support the women’s march, except for the handmaidens you have hidden in your basement].
People marched yesterday for different reasons, but they were united by their right to express their views. They had a number of speakers, addressing a myriad of issues, — but linked by common threads— social justice, respect, dignity, compassion, kindness, basic human decency.
People marched in huge numbers to support such values, because the overwhelming majority of Americans believe in these values. They march because they know Trump seeks to erode such values.
Yesterday is the push back, the 1st Amendment live and in color, — what our Founding Fathers deemed sacred.
Feel free to organize your own march to trumpet whatever you hold dear. Name it whatever you want. Please do.
And ironic since the Founding Fathers would be disgusted and appalled by the values espoused there.
Your claim that your speakers at the liberal female march all shared the qualities of dignity, kindness, compassion, and basic human decency would certainly be contested by any of the millions of unborn babies had some of those pro abortion rights speakers allowed them the protection of law to their lives so that they could have spoken in their own defense.
50% of those aborted humans were female, as well. Way to advocate!
Regarding organizing our own march, we did it long ago. The March For Life in DC was begun 44 years ago. It has taken place annually, and it’s crowd size this past week was far bigger than your March there this weekend.
I am sure you were unaware of this, but the whole reason the PP people that orchestrate your event chose this weekend was because it was the same week that the MarchFor Life was scheduled, and they wanted to offer a counter statement.
If the biggest advocacy group represented at your March came out and called itself what it was....March for Abortion....how much smaller do you think that your crowd would have been? I can tell you quite small since they did try that on many of the years before coming up with this gimmick.

Righties consider it racist because I marched? Did not seem racist nor was I aware of anyone calling others racist. Mostly met very decent people standing up for values most of us believe in. Cheers

Unitarian? Church of Christ? Which one?

Church that includes BaronNed, you me and even MAS. Remember God doesn’t love you because you are good, God loves us because God is Good. 47 part of 100,000 part of 3+ million or more motivated for the second time to stand up for decency and kindness.
The WIlliam Tell of the UHND Open Forum!
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhocking. Another leftist who leads a lily white existence labeling others "racists."
But, you see, you can't be racially-prejudiced yourself if you take the "correct" political positions, even if it means you choose to lead a racially-exclusive existence. Hey, I get down to Madison quite often. I see it up close!
Silly for you to even post your self affirmations. We all know soon as you join a thread. Change and transformation are good things. Embrace them.
You're correct, change and transformation can be correct. Asserting blanketly that they are good is asinine. I think Chrissy has a whole paper defending this, the overachiever.

this little turnip. No, our United Methodist Church is most certainly not anything but lily white, but I also don't go around practicing racial McCarthyism.
About the only integrated churches you find these days are evangelical/fundamentalist churches and turnips like this one won't be found there to save their lives.
experience.
So why did you ask the question when you know almost no one has the experience?
Gee, you're sharp.
So the next great white north UMC March for racial justice is hypocritical?
white existence. I asked this before. Which is worse: occasionally making racially insensitive statements yet working, worshiping, living an integrated existence or never making any racially insensitive statements but choosing to live a racially-exclusive life and then calling Group A "racists?" What's worse? Forget about Madison, I can point to liberal enclaves much larger than Madison where this is the norm. Steaming, raging hypocrites who mistakenly assume they have the moral high ground because they say all the right things and assume the "correct" political positions.
I have a great-uncle (and a grandfather) who helped start Heifer International. That great-uncle is very conservative and if you listened to him explain his politics, many/most of these virtue signalers would label him a "racist." Yet beyond Heifer, he and his wife have devoted much of their lives going into prisons, serving predominantly minority group prisoners and if you were a "person of color" at a family function as a guest, you would be treated no differently than anyone else. I would humbly submit that he is less racially biased and much more representative of a Christian vision of racial reconciliation than any of the virtue signalers who attend silly affairs like this one in Washington. It's what you do and not what you say. It's also, actually, one of the markers in the decline of culture, where words and silliness like these marches are valued and recognized more than actions that actually help people in disadvantaged groups.
it’s the norm unless you a fundamentalist. That says nothing by your own admission as to how he lives his life or who he associates with.
He may run a soup kitchen for all you know.
You are soooooo full of shit.
existence himself, including where he chooses to worship. If you really believe passionately in racial integration, wouldn't it be more important to meet that standard first rather than finding the church that most closely matches what you want to hear in church? Have any of you ever actually attended an evangelical or fundamentalist church? This may come as a great shock, but they really don't handle snakes and probably about 75% of what I've heard at them wouldn't be the least bit troubling to even your most liberal Christians.
do. You have no idea about him. Yet your usual arrogant assumptions are on full display.
You also worship at a Lilly white church. I assume you are against racism, yes? Is it hypocritical that you don’t go worship with the Baptists?
divulged? Shall I catalog all the things you've imagined and assigned to me over these past few months, my little kitten?
Yet you are an expert on all things education.
Am I wrong, don’t you teach civics?
Do better.
You just keep raising and raising that status of yours.
Can you explain why you thought that the idea of being a "middle school teacher" would render someone lesser than you?
Let me share something with you: I was given the miracle of having a son in middle age recently. Yesterday, I got take him sledding for the first time and it was magical. I give thanks everyday for the gifts afforded a habitual sinner like me, and I really do mean that. Your psychology degree aside, you couldn't be more incorrect about my state of mind and if you think an obnoxious lawyer and a vacuous prof are even on my radar, you'd be terribly mistaken. I do enjoy needling you two when I so stop by, mostly because you embody the things you try (and fail) to foist on me. If I had to guess, I would peg it as owing to your high status positions and that you're unaccustomed to someone of a "lower station" not deferring to you and questioning what you assert, but it could be due to something else. In the end, only you can answer that or why you devote so much time to this place at the exclusion of real people, like family or friends.
You refused to answer as usual.
You then at some point said you had divulged it in the past and great memory that I have I recalled something about you teaching civics.
You are the one who claimed you divulged which was not the case with scooter.
I don’t even know if that is currently what you do. Is it? If so, why so reticent about admitting it?
I also enjoy needling you. Smug know it alls who claim to be the only ones who read like you always made me sick. So it’s mutual baldy .
And one more thing. Anyone with over 9K posts here has no room to criticize time spent by others. You have been here all day. I’m sure your great gift missed the time you wasted not being with him. Mine are grown and and out of the house.
to live a lily white existence.
If you weren't so bent on trying to "get me," you'd acknowledge that implying that people are racists because they differ with his stance on immigration is an a-hole thing to do. You won't, and that speaks to your own character.
And again you don’t call out racism when you see it? If you do, are you a hypocrite by attending an all white church? Does that define your existence.
Such a goof,.
