Living life without fear in a state of reason.
Wife and I sang for our supper 3 weeks ago, spending a Saturday at the Dover Speedway volunteering as scribes for the jabbers.
National Guard ran the show, working with paramedics and DMV personnel directing the inbound cars.
10 lanes under 5 tents, 2 cars per lane at a time (4 cars under each tent), about 3 minutes for each tent to jab 4 carloads. Not quite a Formula One pit crew, .. but close.
Each scribe worked in tandem with one medic. We reviewed/collected the paperwork and gave motorist vaccination cards.
Jabbed over 3000 folks that day. And then got ours.
My wife is quite the character, offering guidance and instructions to the motorists whether or not solicited. One would have thought she worked for the CDC w/ the "knowledge" coming out of her mouth.
Wife to driver as they are about to exit: "Piece a cake, right? ... you got the good one ..."
Me: "Jesus! Don't be saying that shit ... "

Not all of us could work squirreled away in home offices over a year. Some of us had to live and work our lives in the world. Social distancing and masking makes sense for us folks. Got me to fully vaxxed so I am quite happy.

We aren't having our kids vaccinated though. My Wife teaches so got her 2 doses a while ago.
FWIW, the only side effect I had was a couple days of fatigue. Not even pain at the injection site.
Have to drive to the airport to get it, but that's not a huge deal. Offering Pfizer or Moderna. Not sure exactly how it works but I'm fine with either.
Thanks all....
Now! Frank! Tampa! Knock it off. If I have to turn this car around!!!

receiving an annual dose - however I have been vaccinated for C19 = Pfizer, both shots done some time ago.
Get vaccinated NOW.
It literally takes minutes.
Don’t listen to ia or Tampa.
Only a fuckwad would be an anti vaxxer in an important time.

care about fellow Americans. The Flu is serious and can kill thousands and Jim doesn't seem to care about them.

Trump can't offend you so we have taken his place. I'm Irish/Polish. You can call me anything you want, I've heard them all and promise I won't be offended. Now, put your race card back in your wallet and find a different topic to for your selective outrage. You don't need another locked thread so you can have the last word (as always) and move along little fellow.

I am not opposed to the vaccine, but I'm also not in a hurry to get it. Reason: I'm busy at work and a couple days of downtime aren't convenient right now. I also haven't been sick since Feb 2020, (I think it was CoVid) and haven't really been social distancing. Prior to Feb20, it had probably been at least 25 years since I had been sick other than a cold.
If I decide down the road to get one, which is unlikely, it will be Novavax - traditional delivery method for a vaccine and does not use mRNA. As of right now I have the antibodies, the Rona did not affect me more than a bad cold, and I have heard too many stories and seen negative effects of the current vaccines too frequently to subject myself, my wife or my children to a vaccine for a sickness that is 99.99% survivable if you are under 70 and healthy.
wrong headed American who thinks they’re better than all others.
......there have been a lot of conflicting TV doctors opinions on whether to give the vaccine to those who have already recovered from COVID. But when the cameras turn off, even those touting the party line would likely admit that you are already better protected with your natural immunity with the combination of strong T Cell immunity plus antibodies than just the vaccine generated antibodies, and you likely will have much longer, if not lifelong immunity whereas vaccine people may be needing boosters down the road. If I had COVID already, i would likely make the same choice.
I disagree about not vaccinating the rest of the family, but I strongly support your right to make your own choice and not be prevented from living your normal life because of it.
they have all had the Rona, though not all of them had the antibodies. We knew one had it when she lost her taste and smell so we said lets go ahead and all get it. We did not get tested for the virus, only got the antibody test after the fact and though we all had the same symptoms, though to varying degrees, and we shared drinks, food etc and only 4 of 6 had the antibodies after the episode - the two that did not were my wife and my 12 year old which is really weird. So I think we are all pretty safe.
