How'd that work out?
Care to share the political affiliation of those law professors?
They are saying he lacks the temperament and non partisanship to be on the court based on his performance at the hearing.
However, I feel that going foward it will be difficult to find qualified jurists who will accept the nomination. This was/is a political smear. Kavanaugh just reacted very poorly, Scalia would have carved up his opponents verbally with a wry smile.
As a father, I can see why Kavanaugh would want to deny his most embarrassing acts as a youth, especially when the Senate has no basis to be asking about any of that stuff...the only reason was to embarrass him and discourage quality future candidates from wanting to be nominated. If I were an appellate judge now, and I wanted to sit on SCOTUS, I would start donating to the Dems, and start attending Dem fundraisers. Much less likely that the GOP will try to personally destroy you if you are nominated. Then again, you'd have to pass the abortion litmus test.
And as dumb as I can be, I would never put that shit in a yearbook profile. Only an asshole would.
Now, of course, I also never did anything remotely near what the good judge has been accused of. Attempted rape and shoving your dick in front of a girl’s face is a tad off the chain.
Agreed. People put dumb stuff in yearbooks. They are high schoolers, and no one will be looking at it except for them in 36 years, right?
We don't know if Kavanaugh ever did anything near what he was accused of. If you are nominated by a Republican president, we will find out how composed you are when you are accused of the same acts decades ago.
especially about that girl. Yeah people would write stuff like that in each other’s book, but never saw school sanctioned profiles like those.
He was a dick then and also lied about it.
He’s not doing it for his daughters either.
The are like gods who get to decide when life begins and when it ends and they can overturn centuries of cultural norms just because it is trendy, it’s gotta be so intoxicating for some that they blind themselves to the cost of getting affirmed.

It’s all about temperament (in a prepared statement) and partisanship.
I have no idea why this is the hill the GOP is prepared to die on. There are plenty of other pro-life judges. BK manifestly unfit for the job.
Oh, right. That is actually a bonus for this crowd.
Remember again, how many of these peeps vote SOLELY on that issue.
Better for him to even go down where they can blame the Clinton revenge. All politics.
I always figured voting for your team, no matter what, was just politics. But voting an issue, no matter the team, was principled voting. You appear to have a different position. Care to elaborate? Do I misunderstand your position (certainly possible)?
So, yeah, you misunderstand. What I think they realize is the base is too invested in this, meaning even if they nominated and confirmed someone more conservative it would be seen as a political loss. In other words you could, with principle replace him with another conservative who would likely be a better choice. However, it would be viewed as losing politically. Therefore in the words of our noble majority leader, they are going to plow through.
Principle would be if he was the only chance to appoint a conservative. But there are enough questions about this guy that it isn’t principle, but politics.
"only chance to appoint a conservative" ...I don't know enough about the process to know whether there would be another chance before the election. Probably not. So, there is that.
I actually am not a fan of Kavanaugh. I've repeated that many times here. If they have time to nominate and approve someone else, then great. But, I'm of the impression that he is the best Trump will get at this point given the upcoming election. And, I'm sure the dossiers are prepared for the other named candidates. Trump will have to go off the list for the next appointment.
surrounded by dirty, foul mouthed and mean politicians. These same law professors no longer teach the Federalist Papers in America's law schools and I guess many of these professors themselves were educated without reading the Federalist Papers.

Did your professors ever see his 30 hours hearing? Why didn't your biased professors mention his temper in those 30 hours hearing?
Did not go on dates with professors.
It is well known that Judge Kavanaugh has an excellent reputation for his temperament on the bench.
