He would claim he didn't know striking a match would cause a fire after the house burnt down. After 2 years of blatant us vs them rhetoric and lies people are more driven by political discourse than ever. Those of you who refuse to condemn the man are just as complicit. It's the 50s-60s again but this time it's not about race.

is just too funny.
The GOP is not responsible for the White Nationalist types, for instance. There are always going to be fringe elements.
But the president sets the tone. And we have never - ever - seen anything like what Trump says at each of these rallies. You should watch them, if you haven't.
This is not a partisan issue - Bush was never like this, and neither was Reagan. This is a decorum issue.
If your whole political strategy involves appealing to the worst instincts of your base and rousing the rabble, you can't be surprised when some of that rabble is roused in dangerous ways.
Trump has always talked about "America" as a collective in terms of wanting to win on trade deals and the economy. But he has also always singled out Democrats in a way that communicates that he doesn't view serving them as part of his job. No president ever really tries to serve both agendas, but Trump doesn't even pretend. He's openly disdainful.
He could be less antagonistic, but the left and m.s.m. could also be more objective. Neither seems willing to do it first.
in Dallas, you gave Obama a pass. But now you're up in arms about Trump. Forgive me if I call you a bit hypocritical.

Everything he said is true, and he said a lot more that the disingenuous a-holes on your websites didn’t mention. Because it didn’t fit into the theme.

Ask most cops what they think of Obama.
They’ll not speak kindly of him.

BTW, the application of this rule regarding the masses moving toward the US is interesting. Early on, it favors the GOP, but when the MSM acts on its' plan to spread photos of the US military standing next to women and children over the airways, it's going to hurt the GOP right at election time.

how you think Blasy Ford's testimony was real.
Keep a jaundiced eye on everything within a month of an election. Everything.
"legit, unplanned bomb threats"? These were not bomb threats. These were bombs.
I have no idea what a "legit" bomb threat would be.
And I also have no idea what an "unplanned" bomb threat would be.
Also in today's news, this has nothing to do with Ford, who was almost certainly telling the truth.
Finally, this will help no party. Not one person will change their vote because of this.
Otherwise, really good post, Baron.
or manipulated.....come on!
...and a counter story to the “angry mob” criticism that has hurt Dems in the polls - no, that couldn’t influence anyone’s vote....come on!
....and me pointing out that this is another last minute, politically convenient claim like Blasey Ford’s that you choose to believe while you now also suddenly turn into a concrete literalist who argues, “she has nothing to do with these incidents”......come on!
....and Dem activist Ford’s claims were not corroborated by any of the 3 other witnesses SHE claims could confirm her story- even her best friend who was also pressured unsuccessfully to change her testimony. And the delicate Stanford Prof PhD couldn’t ”wemember” anything about times, dates, locations, or even if she gave her med records to the WaPo reporter that she called just 3 weeks before her testimony. But clearly, she is telling the truth?!.......come on!
Otherwise, good post, Chris.
PS - At this close proximity to election, I’ll believe it if the bomb hurts it’s target.
Or when his globalist mentality on national security brought the first case of Ebola to U.S. soil with a welcome mat?

It's just a difficult topic. It is of great concern to the African American community as a symptom of something broader. It would have been absolutely inexcusable for the nation's first African American president not to bring that issue to the forefront.
But not all people see it that way.
.....remember, they went in to restructure local city police operations which indicates he was doing more than merely him giving this a mention.
Once he said that Trayvon Martin could have been his kid. And another time he criticized the cops who had arrested Skip Gates...but he apologized and had the "beer summit."
Conservatives heard Malcolm X.
police.
Agree that Orange makes him look like a piker in comparison, but he did his own share of shit stirring. Obviously not as loudly or obnoxiously, but making excuses for and supporting a group talking about frying cops like bacon wasn’t very well thought out either.
I know more than a few cops who weren’t very pleased.
Which was not at all.
There is a lot I dislike about Trump, but this is a silly thing to blame on him.
Neither did I and I did blame Barry for stoking that fire.
Of course now that it’s Trump, the what aboutism is rampant.
I don’t blame either Barry or Trump for what others do, left or right.
I do blame them for creating an atmosphere that encourages hatred and distrust.
Their words do matter and they should choose them better.
The divide in this country is via the Media and the wealthy, get a clue! Politics has always been a nasty business, it is the 24 news coverage and bias that promotes divide!
His rhetoric and political positions fostered a climate for political violence, and therefore was guilty of thought crimes.
It worked on Zinoniev and Kamenev!

The belief, D's are angry mobs out to destroy America and how awful their violence is to this country - yet it's okay to promote a Republican politician who would body slam a reporter - threaten if the D's take over the House there will be violence in return.
Because he keeps doubling down on the false, violent rhetoric. HRC at least shut up when shamed. Trumpo knows no shame
prez. Of the whole fuckin US. Not just those who like him or his base. He swore an oath. And he just keeps roiling this nation for his own gain.
He is the worst type of demagogue.
Trump lies 5 times a day, but it's OK because Obama said I can keep my doctor. Which I did, by the way.

for his mocking of the Times reporter, his disparaging remarks and attitude to a Gold Star family, his abuse of women and embracing his own bad behavior, his lies and so on.
So no, your comparison is just wrong headed trying to give values that are untrue and unrelated.
Should she had said it? No. But that's for another thread altogether.

These people are wacky. They could pop up on either side. They are amateurs.
I certainly wouldn't blame the people that enabled Trump.
While I agree that this is not Trump's fault - directly anyway - I do think he has been courting disaster with the tone he has set. His constant rhetoric and fear mongering is designed to whip his supporters into a frenzy.
Just compare what he says and does to McCain's reaction to the same fringe elements.
We have never had a national politician so focused on feeding red meat to his base. Every other president has at least paid lip service to being the president of everyone.
Trump has put this country on a path that made something like this pretty much inevitable. I doubt it would have happened without him. We will see.

My opinion, radicals will be radicals regardless of the president's rhetoric. But, the rhetoric is an embarrassment in both cases.
to call out bad behavior from our side.
Time was when that kind of shit wouldn’t happen period because no one would approve of it. Now, no matter what these idjits do, 50% of the population will splain it away.
advantage. A real leader (a true nationalist in the best sense), not a demagogue would try to turn down the gas jets.
However, that wouldn’t serve his interests.
He cares about no one or no thing, or no principle. Just himself. A truly despicable slimeball.

Seriously, I get why folks thought she was worse than him.
I don’t get people who actually celebrate Trump like Cole, Baron, Hammer etc.
I knew what I was getting when picking her over him.
Would do it again.
They were both horrible. I couldn't bring myself to vote for either. So I cast a write in vote. But I totally get why people voted either way . . . and I don't get the people who celebrate Trump.
I'm just not convinced of proximate causation.
vitriol and misinformation whilst running as second to McCain and what she has lived by since.
They ate it up and repeated it as fact. As dumb and as outlandish as it was the things she said, it made news as fact or as Neddie says, secondary facts that D's don't pay attention to.
I want to see her in Bunny Ears.
You know, if you limit your accusations to real people doing real things that have real effects, you will be more credible. As it is, you are not credible. (You are the guy who calls every Republican a racist.)
Palin was many things, but a provoker of violence was not one of them.
McCain couldn't keep up with Obama's money in that election. Palin was an opportunity to churn the tabloid news machine into campaign exposure. Palin didn't resonate the way Trump did . . . not so widely. I think coming off of eight years of Obama is the biggest contributor to that difference. Thankfully, Palin has been relegated to the butt of jokes and the fringe elements ever since.
repulsed by it and her level of Stupidity, ignorance of governance, outright lies is, the point of the post. That she was accepted in a big way while running as McCain's VP created a path to the acceptance of Trump style language and brashness. That Bush was dumb as shit, Palin even dumber but exploitive showed there is no bottom to the well R's are getting their Q's.
Obama being in office as an excuse for R's accepting Trumpism is a sham, an outright load of BS and blame.
Trump is here because R's have no limit to their stupidity and low moral self esteem. They have become the lead-weight to America the nation.
I was making a general comment to Ned about Palin and her being the VP choice in 2008. I agree with you about Palin’s awfulness and the awfulness of the right in embracing her along with her lies and her vitriol. I was not blaming Obama for the right’s embrace Trumpism, nor offering any excuse for it. Trump and his supporters suck. I theorized that McCain’s campaign tried unsuccessfully to exploit Palin for publicity to offset being outspent in the election the way Trump successfully exploited the same garbage approach in ‘16. I think the right’s obsession with hating Obama seeded the field for Trump to succeed where Palin fell flatter. I’m blaming the right’s irrational hatred of Obama, not blaming Obama. (Not to say I’m a fan of Obama, I’m not. But I dislike him for vastly different reasons than right-wingers do.)
as for my post - There isn't anywhere where I said she made a call for violence - an answer to "causation" (post) of a Trump being in office and how R's response to him may have gotten to the point of idiocy by way of a loony like Palin and her idiocy. We certainly could see she had tapped into the stupidity of your group and did it with aplomb. DonnyDouche'bag has taken it a few steps further.
And then there's this.
