I mean, how many life sentences can he actually serve... unless there is reincarnation.

I kinda suspect that Manafort's misdeeds were not unique.

He's already facing life.
No one thinks he is going to "sing" more. Not sure they need anything more from him.
Mueller's team has evidence - and it must be pretty damn strong evidence - that he lied after making his plea deal. So the deal is off. He's going to spend the rest of his life in jail, unless Trump steps in, and puts us one step closer to the constitutional crisis.
That's all.
The man committed serious crimes and was convicted. He deserves prison and there is no justification for letting him off.

The guy is a first class, remorseless POS who has earned the full wrath of the law coming down on him but you want him pardoned? Why?
You either believe in the rule of law or you don't. You don't get to say "But my zygotes!" to justify breaking the rules.
s "lawlessness" was the result of a fishing expedition by a special counsel. Anyone on this board could be found guilty of something if a lawyer is allowed to poke around in your past long enough. I don't like the precedent it sets and worry about government overreach 2) I don't believe the penalty fits the crime 3) it makes for good theater
1. Manafort's lawlessness occurred before and during the Mueller investigation not as a result of it.
2. "Fishing expedition" is your opinion not factual. Tally up the indictments so far and worry about the ones upcoming. This is no fishing expedition.
3. "Anyone can be found guilty of something" is a laughable defence of Manafort. I'm sorry but there are millions of law abiding citizens that live entirely normal fulfilling lives without committing crimes that might land them in prison for an extended stay. Sure, there are lots that do not and they haven't been caught but that doesn't absolve Manafort. The "others are doing it" lament is a 7 year old's defence.
4. Theater? You know who wants to see felons walk free? Other felons.
ginning, but, damn, that beginning has been going on for a long time.

Some good one-liners: "his "lawlessness" was the result of a fishing expedition by a special counsel." Yes, Mueller fished Manafort into a lifetime of money laundering, fraud and mendacity!
"Anyone on this board could be found guilty of something if a lawyer is allowed to poke around in your past long enough." Anyone might have colluded with foreign governments to defraud the United States! Anyone! This is the statement of a lunatic.
"I don't believe the penalty fits the crime." The penalty is jail. What would you prefer? Giving the OK to lie to federal authorities, as long as your old buddy is in the White House? Apparently so.
fit. And, yes, everyone on this board cheats on their taxes in some way.
worked for self owned lobbying firm which did not disclose foreign gov't ties and evading those interests by the US.
And then there is the tax evasion and money laundering issues.
This is not some guy fudging taxes claiming an IRA payment of a few hundred bucks. It's $17million in undisclosed payments.
So, if I didn't disclose $17mil in income or lets say Wesley Snipes doesn't - do you think jail time is in order?
How about Money Laundering?
Nor do I launder money (which he did), lie to feds (which he did), or cooperate with Russian intel to help one side in a presidential campaign (which he did).
And by “liberals” I mean the media, courts, foreigners and smart people in general.

Trump can’t abuse his power enough for you.
Hope those two pro-life judges were worth selling your soul.
