unless they suppress voting rights...shameful, but that's reality, and needs to be dealt with.
We just had the fairest election under incredible challenges...every single county in the USA certified the 2020 election...not one other Senator or Representative challenged the outcome, yet they now demand incredible restrictions that make zero sense and so nothing wrt fraud...they know full well what a 7M vote gap portends for their future, so, democracy be damned, they'll do anything to win...big question is...who are they winning for?...certainly not the America envisioned in the Constitution.

because of Russia? I believe the main one was
Hillary.
You destroyed votes via bullshit fake "water pipe burst," pulled out uncertified boxes after counting hours that were magically 100% democrat, and extended "vote counts" long enough to suddenly find enough ballots.
It was a sham. Our new laws will prevent it.
numbered?...he won't find any comfort in the arms of GOP Senate leaders...
As I said...the 2020 election was fair and valid...Biden is our lawful President...if you still have a problem with that, don't post to me...email Mitch McConnell and the other GOP Senators.

oblivion unless they purge Trump, et al, from their ranks...Voting rights will be a great start.
"80 million."
Marginal swing towards Democrats in suburbs made the difference.
Record turnout for bases on both sides in 2020. Thank Trump for the turnout.
would take away state's rights which our forefathers never wanted.
by convincing the public that they have a better plan to move America forward and ensuring that ALL eligible voters have ready access to the polls to voice their preference, then their anti-democratic maneuvers need to be blunted...hence the Voting Rights Acts.
Once again...EVERY county in America certified and verified that the 2020 election was fair and valid...even with CURRENT election laws and means of voting (e.g. Mail-In Voting...Early Voting, etc.). The courts ruled as such in every instance when challenged by Trump and his enablers...60 to 0...plus the SCOTUS.
There was a time I could in good conscience vote Republican, and I did...that is NOT the case now.

Hey let's let non-citizens vote a la NYC!
You were saying something about winning a fair fight?
Cat got a few liberal tongues are here tonight.
They know the demographics. They know they will get crushed if more Americans can cast their vote.
So, their playbook is to suppress suppress suppress, reduce turnout in urban precincts, and then retain the authority to overturn the verdict to guarantee the outcome.
lost because of this.

2020 election...our fraud protections are sound...now, which party wants EVERYONE to vote their conscience...and which one doesn't?...the latter is the GOP.
And to protect the value of that vote by preventing democrat fraud.

For a reason.

My guess is that you don’t have to work a 10 hour shift, find a babysitter for your 3 kids, and then stand in line for 6 hours in the cold rain, to cast your ballot?
It is not about you. It is about making sure democracy is our nation’s greatest treasure, fiercely protected and defended by all of us for each other, regardless of political persuasion.

Nobody is buying their voting reform bullshit.

before you make a critical choice? Of course then the media might have too much influence which they obviously did in 2020.

Seems to solve some problems it seems then. No long lines. Can watch the weather to avoid rain showers. Bundle up if a bit chilly. Grandma or a kind hearted neighbor has a few days notice to look after the kiddos for you. Perhaps pack a few snacks to curtail the grumbly tummy.....
So I guess we can put that one to bed.

Just as the Republicans sold their souls supporting Trump, the Dems have made a deal with their own hardline socialists in order to attain power. Unfortunately, the polls show that a strong majority seriously opposes this agenda. Meanwhile, It does not seem likely that Manchin or Sinema will fall on their swords. So they are desperate. The silver lining is that after they get drubbed this might open the door for a true moderate to steal the 2024 nomination.

Biden has been an abject failure and his far-left lunge is a direct betrayal of what he said while running.
the Secretary of State Office. I got a voter card in the precinct/district I live in. I show my ID at the township hall and vote in person or request an absentee ballot ahead of time.
Has something changed or is this somewhat the norm in most states?

way to woo wary Dems wary D's who won't agree to an end to the filibuster as a whole..
The voting reform is the centerpiece for the Dems to stay in power despite the strong unpopularity that is expected to ensue with the implementation of their transformation of the country.
It is really THE most important issue to them, and they cannot sell the complete elimination of the filibuster to all of their members. They are hoping to get them to go along with this. Interestingly, McConnell has let the Dems know that it opens the door for the GOP to demand up/down votes on multiple issues from abortion to taxes to defense to banning mandates which will most definitely put the at risk Dems from conservative states on the spot with a clear vote on the issues. The Dems don't have enough votes on anything to give a pass to some of their members. It is a narrow window to get through since there are alos other skittish senators, and it will certainly hurt multiple Dems in the next election when mcConnell carries out his plan.
The real interesting thing is that if the Dems set this precedent - even for one thing, then the GOP, who will very likely take back the senate, can do the exact same thing on issues that it considers important. They could even undo this and extend it to other things (remember the Harry Reed Rule repercussions). The Dems must be very confident in their ability to cheat with this law in place for them to take this risk. maybe they feel that they can undo the pending red tsunami
