On USA claims of UFO sightings.
There was a recent paper produced on Omuamua, an interstellar object that recently was seen transiting through our solar system. Avi Loeb speculates that it might be an alien probe. The dude is not an obvious crackpot - he's the head of Harvard's astronomy program. Pretty much everyone is pissing on him for suggesting it.

Then again, humans would probably send in the probe broadcasting a "please invade us and take our planet...here's how you get to us" message on all frequencies, rather than send a silent probe through each system before visiting.
Mine would be: "Greetings! We can't miniaturize our Z79 Supernova-Inducers below a mass of 10^7 Hydrogen atoms. Do you have any suggestions for further refinement? Thanks in advance"
“Ninety-eight percent of astronomers and SETI researchers, including myself, think that METI [Messaging Extraterrestrial Intelligence] is potentially dangerous, and not a good idea,” says Dan Werthimer, a SETI researcher at the University of California at Berkeley. “It’s like shouting in a forest before you know if there are tigers, lions, and bears or other dangerous animals there.”

Happily it is highly doubtful any of the signals can reach any of the places they were sent with any kind of fidelity.
