making Mueller investigation political at first, you would understand why investigation can't go public, assuming investigation concludes no criminal evidences found. If they found anything criminal on president, of course it has to go public, letting American know. This doesn't just apply to president, it also apply to you. Think about it again, once you are being investigated, everything in your life will be published to public even you are innocent. It is unfair to you, isn't it?

Thread Level: 6

The DOJ has had a policy since before you were conceived of not publishing the results

of an investigation into a person that resulted in no charges. I'll leave it up to you to figure out why that's good policy. And I know it wasn't always followed.

We've all got lots of private info we'd rather not share with the public. How much of that would ever be part of any investigation, much less something that would warrant being in a report of the investigation.

Is someone's penis enlarger really going to be an exhibit to the collusion investigation?

If you were being investigated by the FBI right now no one would know. If that investigation turned up nothing what would be the point of publishing it?

In this instance, everyone knows the Trump campaign is under investigation. If the report is buried there will always be conspiracy theorists speculating what's in it and frothing up the stupids. By publishing it the public will know once and for all if their president is innocent, a criminal or a traitor. You have a right to know. Trump has claimed he's innocent all along so let's let the record show that if that's the case. It's the best path forward to try to bring the country back together.

If it were me, and everyone knew I was under investigation but I knew I was innocent, I'd want the report made public. What am I saying, of course I'd be innocent.

We are talking about everyone else who came within Mueller's crosshairs, which is just about everyone on the campaign. The DoJ just can't go about publishing a report about people who they investigated and did not charge.

My feeling is the report will be published but it will be redacted in part.
