awfulness reflects in particular the R party because clearly there is no emergency at the Southern border - clearly this is a POTUS and party who are ginning up a false narrative to have a win to save face due to the ego of a very unstable despot at the helm - I think back to the claims by R's that the D's (Joe Biden in particular) went out of their way to block a Republican's choice for a seat on the SC and when it came to Merrick Garland, the R's doubled down on that type of political play subverting the rules of the house the D choice claiming this is how the Democrat's play, we're just doing the same.
When a man, or mouse like Mitch McConnell roosts in a powerful position as his is, there's no telling how ugly politics can get.
Sadly, when it comes to Republican politicians - save a few (John McCain was one) - I have zero belief in their integrity and scruples. Example - we're the party of fiscal responsibility; there couldn't a more false statement ever canvased by a group of people and that's just a sample of their falseness. We can talk about their narrative on family values and it's the same, a falseness that is proven to be by their elected year in and year out. This is not a dichotomy of a party, it is their foundation - the same as when FOX TV called themselves "Fair and Balanced" where they were neither fair nor balanced in fact quite the opposite - a note, this is where the republicans who are really true to their party follow the mantras of that network and it appears it's where the Republican party elected get their speaking points and we know this is where our POTUS gets his.
Just look at this board, Eli, Cole, Baron, Neddie, IrishMac, Rooster, CC72, ColeyO, Aragoto just to name a few here who follow an R politicians down the rabbit hole on a daily basis. They come on here as purveyors of nonsense and they're perfectly happy with it.

more individual than you guys in thinking and in expressing our views. You can see the posts on this board. Rs on this board have more different opinions among them than Ls on this board do.

You whined in Bush years and then posted thank-you-note to him after he left; You whined in Obama years and posted thank-you note to him after he left. Now, you whine in Trump years. I won't be surprised when you post thank-you note to him sometime in your life. Because you don't have a true political conviction, you just need easy targets to complaint about whenever it is convenience to you.
The only thing I “whined”about with W was Iraq which I did from the start.
I “whined” about plenty under Obama as I though he sucked as prez, but then morons like you made him look like G Washington with Orange. Do better next time bot in nominating an R and you won’t hear from me.

does the person have to be for you not to support them even though you like their policies?
If you look at persona, none of American presidents can rival Mao. Mao has no any property left for his family members. He only had 6 digit of deposit (in chinses dollar) in bank for his grandson when he died. His life is very simple. So is Hitler. We all know their policies are bad, but they are cult of many people.
This is celebration of Mao's birthday in his hometown. It's like this every year, people come here from all over the country. It's not organized by government.
Orange is all emotion, persona and bombast.
If you cannot discern between "persona, charisma, style" and character, then that is on you.
Just give one. no more BS please.
Took about five seconds, yo.
I can't think of many posters here who've hitched onto AOC's star, who feel the Bern, or otherwise buy all goods the Left is selling. The last thing we are into is groupthink. Trump-hating doesn't require groupthink. His behavior on the campaign trail and as president are a disgrace to the country. You don't need groupthink to tell you that "grab them by the p*ssy" is despicable, or the name-calling, the attacks on the press, the attacks on law enforcement, or the over-the-stop narcissism, etc., are evidence of a terrible person.
What takes groupthink is drawing the conclusion that everyone that opposes, questions, challenges or investigates the president is corrupt, politically motivated, and fundamentally dishonest. Believing a great conspiracy that thousands of unnamed journalists, FBI agents, DOJ employees, and of course, State, are in on some conspiracy to, I don't know, bring down Trump, requires strong susceptibility to groupthink.
I am trying not to care that people are adopting that groupthink. But it's incredible to accuse us of groupthink, simply because we don't believe in all these Deep State conspiracies.
It use to be though as Americans that no matter your politics, we demanded a certain degree of integrity, judgment, values, commitment to the common good, experience, fidelity to our system, and fitness for duty from our leaders. The trumpies have simply and completely abandoned that. They have also sold out long held Republican values for conservative justices, a tax cut, and regulatory cuts. In a vacuum, I also favor these over the other options. But not at the price of selling your soul on basic humanity as well as on former R positions on items such as protectionism, xenophobia, isolationism, fiscal responsibility, identity politics, and demagoguery. It’s just not worth it. It’s also not worth enduring unfounded, foolish, vicious, and damaging attacks on our system, our govt, our law enforcement, and everyone who doesn’t agree with this guy. Nor is it worth the stupid conspiracy attacks on our courts, media, LE and IC. At some point it’s just country over party and expedient policy. We are at that stage with this guy.
