that was 1989.
It didn't work on that generation, but now we have an extremely poorly educated generation who has further been indoctrinated through our corrupt grade school, high school, and university system.
A scam is always just waiting for the right audience.

it’s agenda.
They make great professors and thinkers though, just not doers.
Google "Montreal Protocol."
It turns out that international environmental policymaking can work.
I am all for decreasing CFC’s for the majority of common products (but not asthma inhalers which allowed drug companies to use their non CFC patent to jack the rates up from $14 an inhaler to $114 an inhaler so that now many kids don’t get their inhalers because they can’t afford them....all the while the amount of CFC’s from all inhalers combined is miniscule).
Undeniably, CFC's contribute to to ozone depletion , but they didn't solelycause it.
The hole over the Antarctic cycles as well, and CFC's contibutions are more noticeable during low ebb times of the cycle. It is not safe to say that anything has been "solved".
It will probably be back with the next cycle, though hopefully, less severe.
Anytime you see bureacrats pass legislation and then hear, "crisis averted", you should become suspicious. In those cases either the crisis is still there, or it was never there.
In this case, it is likely ongoing.
Who made fear the centerpiece of his presidential campaign in 2016?
God willing, our forests survived.

....when you get your agenda through.
on the other hand, if the agenda fails, the world goes on just as before, but you just recycle the same old con a generation later to see if they will by it.
Do you ACTUALLY believe that the govt regulations stopped "acid rain"?! We have more CO2 in our atmosphere now than ever before - the Climate Changers can attest to that. Yet, the acid rain problem is passed? Are you familiar with how carbonic acid forms from the mixture of H2O and CO2?
Here's the simple chemical equilibrium equation (the rest of the article is not related, but the equation was handy). H2CO3 is the acid in acid rain. There is more of it than ever with these levels of CO2.

I find it really incredible that your job is essentially applied science and yet you are so easily swayed by the craziest conspiracy horseshit. It’s downright fascinating.
The problem was caused by sulfur dioxide released mostly by burning coal. SO2 emissions have happily decreased by 40% (at least in the US) since the problem was diagnosed and steps were taken in the 80s and 90s to mitigate it. Another success story similar to ozone depletion (which you apparently still don’t believe in because Info Wars or somebody told you it is all untrue).
Do you believe that Neil Armstrong landed on the moon?
I did know that, and then forgot it over the years, and withall of he recent discussion on CO2 levels, i made the incorrect inference that it was from the much weaker carbonic acid.

That's why CFC's were banned.
Is this now a lefty conspiracy, too?

Unfortunately the brainwashed who buy into this bs are morons.
they insist the long term predictions from their models are still accurate. But their long term prediction's error margin (1.5 - 4.5 C) is too big, well within the magnitude of the historical climate change of the earth. With this kind of uncertainty their prediction doesn't mean very much.
