James Madison, Henry Clay, Thaddeus Stevens, Henry Cabot Lodge, Sam Rayburn...Steve King.
I'm torn about which Steve King quote should accompany his bust in the halls of Congress when he passes, this one or the one about Mexican illegal immigrants having calves the size of "cantaloupes" because of all the drugs they carry into the country on their backs. There will be a deep void in the House when he leaves, which will surely be death, because I'm pretty sure he could say anything, short of announcing he's become a liberal, and be re-elected.

Not embarrassed by where I grew up, far from it, but because they keep electing that jackass. But the problem is that the people that live there mostly didn't go to college, mostly have never experienced another culture and are mostly scared of anything outside of their bubble. It's tribalism on steroids. King preys on these fears.

I don't even want to get into Sean Thornton and Mary Kate.
I had to google both of those, even though I'd seen both movies. The Quiet Man...wow. Can you imagine making that today?!!
I was cringing. It clearly meets the definition. He stalked her for a long time, and she showed no interest. She only went out with him on a date because her brother basically made her. She tried several times to leave his home, and he physically impeded her exit. He was an intimidating figure by any standard, and made his living through violence.
But if it hadn't happened, she would have died alone, half-eaten by her cats when her body was discovered.
.
He shouldn’t speak for humanity though.
Meanwhile anti-Semites on the Left have plum jobs. It's a thing you know. Rules don't apply to them.
