The man’s an idiot.
Also: No matter what you think of the relationship between being a scumbag and eligibility for the court - because let’s stop pretending that Kavanaugh isn’t a scumbag, but maybe that behavior 20+ years ago shouldn’t disqualify him from being a Justice - we should all agree that he wasn’t the best person to nominate. Plenty of other people would have been better.
And before anyone responds with “any nominee would have been lied about!”, I’d just like to remind you of this: Gorsuch.
Nominating Kavanaugh was a mistake.

You're used to blaming others, never understand what personal responsibility means.
doesn’t change the fact that the sender originally posted the embarrassing material.
No “Ned”’ 48 hour rule for that.

Re the high school allegations, it ended up being the correct political bet, but I would have respected something approaching honesty, given the seat he had been nominated to serve upon.
Trumpism has endorsed the right to cheat and lie, in the name of tribal victories.
The so called feminists were particularly disgraceful.
Why do you think Gore did not unleash his old boss in the 2000 campaign, when we enjoyed a surplus and Clinton enjoyed approval ratings above 60%, .... after Monica Lewinsky.
Face it, you guys changed the rules to protect that guy. The left viciously attacked those women who had already been attacked by a predator.
You shouldn’t bitch when others do the same thing.
Kavanaugh was under oath at a confirmation hearing to serve on the United States Supreme Court.
Clinton's false testimony occurred during a civil deposition re infidelity.
the plaintiff alleged he assaulted her. The questioning was to prove pattern and practice, not infidelity.
He further lied about his conversation with Lewinsky about her involvement with the Jones case. The Jones case wasn't about infidelity. It was about assault.
He assaulted that woman, Jones and the only reason other sexual encounters were relevant for deposition was to show potential pattern and practice. The fact that he perjured himself on one that turned out to be consensual doesn’t matter.
Not saying he was truthful re Paula Jones sexual harassment civil suit. The matter settled.
The lion's share of Americans and Democrats did not believe Clinton re his denials of infidelity. They accepted it as true, but on balance overlooked it, and in fact, punished the GOP in 1998 elections for going over the top in making political hay re what many thought were private affairs.
Brett Kavanaugh was under oath at a confirmation hearing. He flat out denied even ever being drunk.
There is no more proof of Bart lying about Blasey and the others than there was about Clinton lying about assaulting Jones. Both Blasey and Jones gave credible accounts. We do know that Clinton lied under oath about Lewinsky. He also lied about not trying to get Lewinsky to submit a misleading affidavit to support his lies. The left also excoriated these women, at least two of which were sexual assault victims and a third, a rape victim. They did more than tolerate, they actively defended that guy, and attacked women with credible assault claims. They sowed the winds of this, yet act outraged when the other side does the same thing.
Quite simply, no Bill Clinton, no Donald Trump.
and by denying that he tried get Lewinsky to submit at best, a misleading affidavit. At the same time he also lied about his encounters with Lewinsky.
I just don’t get why one was tolerable while the other isn’t.
Blasey presented credibly and even Orange said she was a credible witness. Or everyone is just making it up. In which case, why didn’t we hear these types of allegations with Alito, Roberts, and Gorsuch?
The problem is with the passage of time, the allegations are essentially unprovable.
And we could have ended up with someone worse.
Thomas was clearly upset, but he handled himself with dignity.
I should mention that Kavanaugh talked like drunks talk. They like to talk about drinking, even in inappropriate situations. He should've simply said, "I drank a lot and did some thing for which I'm not proud." Instead, notice that he brought booze back into the conversation several times and remarked on how much he likes it. That's exactly what you hear from alcoholics.
The stuff in the yearbook was the stuff that obnoxious rich kids do.
Forget about all this stuff, there were better legal minds on Trump's list, which I'm sure you can speak to better than I can.
Go to read "Dreams From My Father" to know it. The media is a disgrace in this Kavanaugh confirmation. Their continuing obsession in Kavanaugh is a face-saving effort, trying to restore their damaged reputation. This is not whataboutism. The right never have problems with young Obama's partying and using pot/cocaine. They attacked Obama on many things, but never on his behaviors and life style when he was young.

about is whether one of them would expose himself and assault women when drunk.
Again, go to find a victim and evidence or just shut up.

Yeah, I know all of them were liars.
There are dozens of people equally qualified and equally acceptable to the Federalist Society.
This is from David Frum, and I totally agree. He should have said this:
“Yes, I drank too much in my last year of high school and first year of college, misbehaved in ways that embarrass me now, I am sincerely sorry, and have never done anything like it since.”
That’s almost certainly true...and most of us would have forgiven him.
Instead his defense was: It's all lies, every word.
There are plenty of ideologues who would have been much worse. Bart is establishment GOP right.
Also, his lies about his personal scumbaggery were certainly no worse than Slick’s and most felt that they wouldn’t disqualify him from finishing his term.
I suppose that's particularly obvious right now.

Not only am I not angry, but that’s just a dumb way to dismiss the other side without thinking.
nomination, isn't it time to let it go?
You have made a stance that he is a scumbag with nothing but hearsay evidence. You believe you are correct because your political ideals want it to be so.
What are liberals angry about? Who got nominated.
I am very angry, as a liberal, that I don't know who got nominated that I should be angry about. I am going to have a glass of Bulleitt to calm down. Which I know makes you more angry than anything else liberals do
