I don't think it was bad, but it wasn't really good either. There was an opportunity to have a call to action. Make it about how Americans can band together and demonstrate American Exceptionalism to the world. What's more MAGA than that?
He could have made it a patriotic duty to go above and beyond in ending the pandemic. Opportunity missed. Not a political opportunity, but one to do something impressive on a large scale.

This is all of Washington and any politician. This is another shot to try and damage Trump.
He’s the leader though. Lead and they follow. If not it’s on them.
I don't know, no matter what he says. Yes he is the leader but when the 3rd in line tries to add shit to the bill for the virus shows it's all political.
Just say look we can get back to all of this in the fall, but for now we are are all Americans and we need to do this together without back biting or finger pointing. We can go back to that later.

No, it was not great but it's also not the apocalypse it's being made out to be. The left will jump to the other side of anything he says to score as many political points as they can. Like the travel ban that was racist. Or CNN now saying calling the it the Wuhan Virus is Xenophobic when they were doing the same thing 4 weeks ago. He will never be right on anything.
How can anyone realistically complain about Trump's reaction to this crisis. He made several good steps and no one except that poor doctor in China saw this coming, and therefore could have prepared for it.
