In a high tech world there is no reason not to spread out more and thereby self-socially-distance.
Once total cases are established, I am thinking it will be close to the flu's fatality rates.
Also, what you are proposing is not possible with 7+ billion people on earth.

Do you really think you have a handle on this and the medical establishments of Italy, Spain, France, USA, Canada, South Korea, etc etc etc are panicking over nothing? Hmmmm-Kay....
not you are, what you describe as panicking is prolly necessary.
That said, my hunch is that all of this social distancing isn't going to help much. Too many daywalkers (asymptomatic) already out in the wild. Just look how fast it has spread across the globe. But better an overreaction than an underreaction.
I'm not sure too many here are envious TODAY of the folks who reside in New York or LA.
