These guys have linebacker size and ballerina like balance and precision, while moving at faster than top sprinter speeds, and they take a tremendous physical beating all the while.
I'm not sure how Orr would compare to today's athletes, but that is an issue for any comparison of any athlete from 50 years ago to today's athletes.

Good athletes, no question, but not comparable.
Actually right near the top of the list are top freestyle wrestlers.
Not something I'd go to the mat about in an argument, but hockey is unfairly underrated by non-fans. If those folks got some tickets on the glass, they might reconsider.
I'd say you are probably correct with (real) wrestling.
