I have always felt disdain (and dislike) from Trump for people like me, basically because I have not pledged loyalty to him.
I do not feel that now. Whatever one might think about his competence, I believe he is trying to help me as much as any red-hat, and I appreciated that.
I really wish we could return the favor and not second-guess every single thing he does, and give him credit for some real progress.
Country first. Always.

The cost of the virus’ worst case scenario exceeds the cost of 4 more years with Asshole.
Never imagined such a hypothetical, but it has arrived.
There is no value in that.
Compromising principle and morality is a no go.
I understand her reasoning. Completely.
But, for the lives and welfare of so many Americans, I really do hope we pull out of this crisis sooner than later.
If Trump gets the credit (deserved or undeserved), that is OK.
But, for anyone who voted for Trump or supported him before this crisis hit, they are forever compromised Americans and most certainly not about “country first.”
Sad that the country has come to this.....Virus first!
what we know for sure is this one is bad - and he's only gotten started. There have been other very bad leaders throughout history that many
thought were somehow good, somehow ones with vision, ones with promises that were quickly seen as false but were praised because
of false narratives and so on. This guy is one of those. It would be easy to call him Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Idi Amin, Saddam Hussein but
is usually the moment when those who support the bad leader chime in yelling and screaming the comparisons are from those who hate.
All too easy. Then the bad leader is re-elected and the problems get worse, the country falls apart from within, new laws are enacted - Wash
Rinse Repeat.
When someone says who they are verbally or by action, believe them. Trump has told many, many lies but the one truth he did speak he told us who
he is by his actions - a whole lifetime of well chronicled actions and yet, if this one thing gets better he's a great man and deserves more time as a
leader. He's been a failure at everything he's tried but one thing, he's a successful conman and he's never lied about that.
A man of character would have at least a few friends, friends who could speak for him - Trump in all his years had none. Not one came forth
to tell us who the real Trump is. That's something.
I think your wife has a vision and should be listened to. Not because she agrees with me, but because she sees Trump for who he is.
The Atlantic put it best 4 yrs ago when he was the nominee - They got it all correct from jump-street.
My point is that I would trade a quicker end to the pandemic in exchange for losing the 2020 election.
The pandemic could easily be more destructive than Trump. And I never thought anything could be worse than him.
The Coronavirus may hospitalize a few hundred thousand in US but Trumpism has already taken over 43 million and is spiking all over the globe.
Even since the beginning of the week he has morphed back into his standard posture.
The tweet storm is poised and ready.
I understand your point and if this were Mitt Romney I’d agree with you, but this Scorpion is a liar and is gonna sting us all.
So, this thread is largely hypothetical.

sending manufacturing jobs overseas and trying to protect the borders was misinterpreted. I thought he was fighting for all Americans with these positions. He was fighting for the people that are here. He was fighting for Americans, not the globe. It was a good faith position even if some people disagreed with it.
I am not being snarky but won't be offended with a snarky response.
Good day.

working on the basis of a Pandemic crossing the globe; something Obama had put in place with the Pentagon and DHS after the Ebola.
Just like Bush receiving a Report from the CIA - "Bin Laden determined to strike in US". But that was Clinton's CIA and not his - time to go fishing.
It was a strong move to get rid of all those people after the Ukraine nonsense
Van Grack, the Mueller acolyte prosecutor, has to call the following witnesses at trial:
1. Comey - fired and cited by the IG
2. Strozk - fired and cited by the IG
3. Pientka - transferred to the warehouse that houses the Lost Ark
What a cast.
Assuming the latter. Well done.

pointed out what Donnie D. did when he undid something positive. I mean, it's only our national security Donnie injured.
I mean, it's nothing like telling the Russians/Putin you believe him over US national security - Something Obama did
all the time - having secret meetings with Putin, having meetings with Russian agents. You know, the stuff Obama did.
and acting the part of a loud mouthed punk. And that was before he was elected President. As President 90% of his decisions were based on what is best for Donald not what is best for the US. It will be a while before I buy into his line of bull shit.
and will do so again shortly when we look back on this.
You can't handle this.
I would really love to know your background. Are you a '64 grad? Are you 78 years old? Where do you live? What was your occupation? Why are you so bitter and so disrespectful?
You make Frank, Chris94, Conorlarkin, ND_in_DRO, and Imbecile look middle of the road and maybe that's the plan?

There will be lots of time to figure out how we got into this mess later.
For now, we need to get out of it.

He is doing a lot better than expected in the face of this crisis, and like I did with my children when they were 2-3 years old, a little positive reinforcement goes a long ways...
Save for the thrown chairs and the classmates he's stuffed into garbage cans.
