1) a Trump victory.
2) a contested outcome. Accusations of fraud (based on nothing, but his followers will believe him, of course). Potentially a major crisis.
It is impossible to imagine him admitting defeat and magnanimously handing over power with a gracious concession speech for the good of the country, a la Al Gore in 2000 (and every election loser before and since).
Impossible.
Maybe the Trump admin will investigate Biden campaign staff...pay for a dossier to be created, and then use that dossier to trick courts into granting warrants...withhold information from the Biden admin...send emails saying everything is done by the book...leak information (e.g., unmasked targets) to media to start a frenzy...place internal people to RESIST the Biden admin...
Is that the kind of contested outcome you foresee?
Yeah...I do too. I mean, maybe they will come with something new; we'll just have to see.
Make bed. Lie in it.
foreign adversary including a meeting to get dirt on Orange, that adversary will not publish illegally stolen emails to help Biden, and Biden won’t ask them to steal his opponent’s emails. Biden also won’t give them internal campaign polling data or offer to give them a campaign briefing.
P.S. Biden also won’t order the WH Counsel to lie to help him cover such things up.
And unmasking and leaking to the press is very common and totally accepted, per Chris94. Trump, Pence, Barr, and maybe 28 other people can request all kinds of unmasking...right up to inauguration day. Very common. Then, when they send an email saying everything is by the book, you will have to accept it, because you have to be consistent.
I would hope they would. Only guilty unregistered foreign agents need worry.
Regarding who, why not any Biden family member or campaign person or donor talking to anyone in China/Ukraine. Why limit it? Might want to go after Pelosi as well, since she may be the person they want to be president after Biden resigns (and the VP resigns).
Regarding unregistered agents...so far only R's have been punished for being unregistered, not the D's. We discussed that a year or so ago. But, that's the point of this. Turnabout is fair play.
Although, I don't think the R's are as good at this unethical game. Maybe Trump is as good as the D's, but that really remains to be seen. I doubt it.
is when they are doing this?
But don’t let that impact yer fun in babbling exercise.
Now if you are an unregistered foreign agent meddling in just issued sanctions by the current administration there can be a problem.
No reason to think otherwise.
Russian contacts and then in trying to cover up what Russia did to help them.
You have a startling lack of imagination when it comes to your opponents taking similar types of unethical actions as the side you defend. The dossier may not have been created yet. Give it time.
Most campaigns don’t have constant contact with a foreign power like your boy’s.
I'm not suggesting anything different be done, but maybe they can be more creative. Who knows?
Orange gang and the Russians didn’t need to be fabricated. They happened. Why don’t we do a small wager on how many will take place between the aBiden campaign and a foreign adversary? By the way what in the dossier has been documented to be false? Cites please.
That only works when you have someone so scummy that it’s believable.

And, besides, we will have all 17 departments of the intelligence community on board. No one can doubt that.
The report being developed by the Coast Guard Intelligence will be especially juicy, I'm sure. They weigh in on stuff like this all the time, as we have learned recently.
Very little is even close to that.
I would think that the personal stuff on Biden is likely to be well vetted by the election, and a total non-issue in the "coup" and "resistance" that is to follow. But, they might as well throw some kink into the dossier. People like you go for that kind of thing, and it will be talked about regardless of truth or evidence because of people like you.
Speeches in Russia? Those types.
Fantasize away Ned. The material won’t be there like it was in spades for your traitorous group. Make sure you don’t forget the meeting in Biden Tower with the Chinese govt to get dirt on Orange that won’t be reported to the feebs. Or the effort to build Biden Tower in Shanghai while denying any such contact. Or the Biden campaign offering a briefing to the Chinese. Or Joe in a senior moment publicly asking the Chinese to steal emails from the Orange campaign. Or Joe’s campaign manager giving campaign polling data to them.

It's on the long list of shit you willfully misunderstand.
If I'm throwing it around at all, I'm throwing it exactly the same way the Left did on inauguration day for Trump.
viewed by about 40% of the country. We ended politics after 2016 election, thanks to Russian collusion hoax. This is the bigger picture, not just limited to the 2020 election, that you fail to see. I have basis to say it before and now. I remember I saw the polls (Gallup?) saying about 30% of Americans don't trust the election results regardless who wins.

The supreme court is somehow amazingly fit for purpose however.

Call it whataboutism if you want. I'm not justifying it, though. I'm just describing it. If you don't want the other side to do something in politics, then maybe you shoudn't do it yourself. You open the door to them doing it, unless you get punished for it. We'll see if there is any puntive action taken.

It appears the individual states are now responsible for addressing a national pandemic, yet Trump wants to control how elections are conducted.
Federalism has been dying a death by a thousand cuts.
Can the Federal Government withhold funds from individual States to get them to act a certain way? The national speed limit and national drinking age say, "Yes...yes it can."
And, truth be told, the Dems hate states doing different things. The Dems really want to concentrate power in D.C. They don't want 50 experiments running; they want only one.
Don't get me wrong. As a fan of Federalism, I don't like this trend at all. But, I hold no confident belief that federalism can be saved. The 17th Amendment (Senators no longer selected by states, but by popular vote) doomed Federalism to a slow death. The Switch in Nine threw dirt on the grave of Federalism. South Dakota v. Dole and other cases allowing the Feds to withhold federal funds to extort the States to act...well, that was just a few plastic flowers on the grave. (Consider: would Congress allow withholding of funds to states if the Senators were responsible to the State governments instead of to the people? If you like federalism, support the repeal of the 17th Amendment...and oppose the abolition of the Electoral College.)
Of course, I welcome any Democrat who wants to start using the word "federalism" again. I'm not sure I can take you at your word on your interest in federalism, though. If it were Obama doing this to Alabama, I doubt you would be upset...some reason would be found to jusifty the action, or the MSM would be silent about it at a minimum.
But, to directly address your question: I decline to defend Trump on this.
