just really sad.
I think they must be warming up Hillary, Michelle, or Kamala to take over.

There is a reason he lost in Iowa, Nevada, and NH. The more voters see him and hear him, the less they like him.
That said, Trump is the worst president of my lifetime and its not close. He inherited a good situation from Obama in every way. The economy is now ruined and the pandemic is getting worse here while the rest of the world is getting it under control (other than Brazil, which is also governed by a macho populist moron), which is why we are now banned from travelling to pretty much every other country in the world. Under Trump, we are the Skittles since about 1 out of 20 of us are positive for the viurs. Biden will win only b/c Trump is so bad. That is my point.
...any given candidate.
We have minority rule in this country.
-- 20% support Biden because he is an amazingly good candidate and would make an amazingly good president...maybe.
-- 20% support Trump because he is an amazingly good candidate and would make an amazingly good president...maybe.
More than 60% hate them both, but pick the least bad one when they go into vote. Some of them even campaign for a guy, and donate to him...but only because the other guy is worse. Minority rule. For any given president, 20% of the country are "bots" for him...true supporters. 80% dislike him, and if they do give their support and approval, it because he is the best option available, and they don't want the other guy to gain ground. It is not because "their guy" is the best objectively speaking.
But, it helps internet discussions if we assume the other side is 100% bots.

This should be fun.
reasons. Love how you try to recast statements. His is pretty clear.
I didn't make an assumption about what he believes, and then go on a tirade. That is your approach to these types of discussion.
I just asked if I understand him correctly. That's not "recasting" him. It is an attempt to learn what he really believes. I think he backed off a bit below (and by not answering me directly immediately below, so progress was made, in spite of your contribution).
“So your position is.........whatever you want to extrapolate from his statement”.
His was a simple, clear statement. Biden committed. Orange hasn’t yet. He speculates on a reason. Nowhere there does he say Orange won’t debate.
just kidding.

Yes. Yes they have. the linked article mentions a few. Maybe you should put them in touch with that Walsh character.
Also from the linked article, you can see that Trump has commited like Biden has:
Smith then said, “The question was, is it a consideration to skip the debates?”
“And my answer is we are very much looking forward to debating Donald Trump,” Bedingfield [Biden's comms dir] responded.
In a statement sent to Fox News, Trump 2020 campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh reacted to Bedingfield's comments saying, “Joe Biden is the only one who is being coy about showing up for debates and he is the only one getting public advice from his supporters to dodge them.”
“President Trump is looking forward to debating Joe Biden,” he continued.

Unless "looking forward to the debates" is not a commitment, and maybe it isn't, in which case neither of them has committed.
I just think it would be insanely foolish for anyone on Trump's side to think they can win without a debate. Right now, he is running against an image of Biden, not the real Biden, and no one can beat a carefully crafted image. The Trump campaign needs a direct comparison to be made by voters. I don't think anyone is advising Trump to back out of the debates. Let me know if you find one.
And, it is questionable whether Biden will be able to manage 3 debates without getting very confused. Dementia is a weird thing. It comes and goes. And, maybe there are medications that can help him be lucid for short periods of time, I really don't know. But, right now, it is only Biden who takes a risk by debating.

If you think it was shuffling about something, then you missed my point.
It’s not shuffling to say that. To suggest that is wrong. Most of us vote on that basis as you posted. It’s also not a change in position as you have also asserted. So, in an election campaign, pointing out the other side is worse is perfectly legit which is what I was doing.

Did you watch Trump's Axios interview?
(no message)
you upset for being lied to? Does this cause you any concern?
No, I did not watch the Axios interview but I did watch the Wallace interview and he could've done better but I'm glad he's doing them because we need to hear from our Presidents (and potential Presidents) and because they're good practice for the debates, which Joe Biden is definitely not getting right now.

I haven't taken a test." So one must be a lie. The people on this Board who claim Trump lies every day should be up in arms, no? Where is Jimbecile now?
