I'm shocked!
(ahem)Every older generation thinks every younger generation is dumb and soft! People have always said these things, therefore this generation cannot possibly be different than the others!

I'm sure there's a large percentage of Americans who don't know about the civil war or where Canada is or where the US is on a world map.
I can't see where the rage is if we cannot get our citizens to know contemporary American history - the simple things like, how our gov't works, the judicial system and so on.
I don't believe it's even covered in most high schools, or if it is, covered in the manner it should be.
I've met many survivors, and once they're gone, I can promise such ignorance will only grow.
As we prepare to celebrate year 5781 this weekend, this is very depressing news.

the life of the mother?
This is a yes or no question.
Evil? That is a question between the female and God, but she ought not answer to Scott Lloyd or other Taliban members.

I ask him about the Holocaust and he was able to give me the facts behind it and how horrific the death total was. Not too bad for a hick home school kid (called that by some elitists on here).
My gut tells me no.....our observations about homeschooling in Georgia....not meant to inflame but it likely will
Mostly Bible Thumpers that do it
Mostly for kids who are not socially adept; ie, mostly socially awkward kids
Most are the same parents who wouldnt let their kids ride the bus because of all the bad language on the bus
More often than not we see parents suspiciously homeschooling till senior year of HS then slipping little Johnny into the HS so they actually get a HS diploma
We have excellent schools where we live (8/8/9); we saw no reason not to send our kids to the local schools
Can you tell we have a very strong opinion about homeschooling?
We fit none of what you describe nor will it inflame. We offered my daughter, who was a junior at the time, the same option. She wanted to stay at the local HS. She was taking 2 classes a day and was a 3 time captain of the softball team. She was coasting and having fun and already had college lined up.
My son was in middle school and standardized testing was king. The teachers were teaching to pass the tests and not much more. It was a waste of his time and frustrated him. We started with 1 class online and then added another. We found it fit him better and he was learning at his pace. 7th grade rolled around and we went full online. My wife handles the majority of it and has a mix of programs depending on the course.
Now most of his friends are in some sort of online because of the Chinese Virus. The parents who questioned us to start now are telling us they should have done the same.
valedictorian, in high school. So who are the best teachers Responsible parents, that's who.

Is tremendous. Best decision we ever made for my son. He is happier, still talks to his friends and can travel with me from time to time when I drive for work trips. And best of all, we don’t have to deal with the bullshit school system and their testing. And don’t even get me started on the Liberal teachers.

The next time Israel has a problem with their Arab neighbors perhaps you and Fat Donald should volunteer to join the fight.
