We have been beaten with a club by the Biden administration, pension funds, universities, and the DOE and all green energy nut jobs while we are keeping the world working.
This will remind America that we are a fossil fuel world for at least 20-30 more years. Get used to it fuckers. You survive at our disposition.
Accept it or else.
You know who you are. Do you have the balls to say you were wrong?
that we are in a transition from FFs to alternatives (Nuclear Power and Renewables)...we will definitely need Fossil Fuels for a lot longer than that, BUT, they'll be recycled instead of incinerated.
In the short term, we have a crisis that needs attending to...without shelving the "End Game"...
Much appreciated, PB...can we please move on?

generate over 70% of their electricity with Nuclear plants..50-70% should be our target...a country like ours can certainly do that IF we can get the Dems and GOP to agree on the urgency...personally, I feel we'll be late, but we'll get there with more pain than was needed.
New GEN-IV reactors that are standardized, modular and able to be manufactured in factories as opposed to on-site can sharply reduce the time and cost of even the French reactors noted in the linked article...also, the DOE under Biden has approved the development of a newer Fast Reactor (in Wyoming), so that critical "fuel extender" technology will also be available within the needed timeline...btw, it will also address the waste management issue at the same time with recycling of fuel.
So there's that perspective...don't you want to support that kind of effort, rather than play "defeatist"?

way too many parties to get on board. you really are naive about some of this.
