Spending $100.00 per concert ticket to see your favorite artist. You wait all night to hear your favorite song by one of your favorite artists and the big moment comes. Then, the artist points his mic out to the crowd and implores the audience to sing your favorite song by one of your favorite artists. $100.00 to hear some drunk behind you sing as loud as they can, off key. Heard Tom Petty do it (Breakdown), The Monkees (Daydream Believer), Ringo (Yellow Submarine), Bad Company (Rock & Roll Fantasy), Brian Adams (Summer of '69). I believe I'm paying big bucks to hear the dude on stage perform the songs, not some random slob bellowing like a elephant seal. It would be like Ian taking a play off and letting someone from the crowd throw the next pass. Yes? No?

Their best song, IMO. Only one with Michael Nesmith on lead vocals, if I'm not mistaken...which is one reason it doesn't sound like a Monkey's song. Also, it was written by Nesmith, and I don't think he submitted his songs to the Monkeys very often.
Kind of funny that there is no official video for a Monkey's song.

Singing along is fine - if you do it quietly.
Then again, this is only an issue for us old guys...the youngsters are so near the speakers that they can’t hear anyone else.
