Take for instance Keystone XL and energy. The Obama admin put the nail in the coffin for this project in 2015 after years of lobbying. One of the first things the Trump admin did was green light this project. However the state of Nebraska didn't do so for almost a year later. When the state signed off they did so for an alternative path that made the oil company go back for approval on environmental and other concerns therefore stagnating the project. Nothing happen for 2+ more years. Biden revoked the federal approval and thus now everyone thinks a pipeline that was ready to start flowing get nixed.
In this age of Twitter, guerilla journalism and punditry led television the Dems can't keep thinking the voting base is well informed.
Democrats will win in any state that has intelligence.
the necessary votes to attain and sustain power...and should a 'maverick' Republican, like John McCain, step out of line and turn his or her back on what I'll call the "Plutocratic Oath" (i.e. Do Whatever Harm is necessary to achieve power), they will employ even the most scurrilous means (i.e. accusing McCain of fathering his adopted black daughter) to ensure that only the "Oath Takers" succeed.
Note that the ONLY legislation of consequence that was fought for and passed during Trump's term was the Tax Break for the Wealthy, and that was done right out of the gate in 2017 in a 'New York minute'...no 'Improved' health care bill...no comprehensive immigration bill...no Infrastructure bill...no Wall Street reforms bill......nothing else in four years.
As I've said before, I've voted for Republican Presidents, governors and other elected officials, but now, with evidence, knowledge and awareness from many sources, until the GOP returns to a platform of economic and social "Inclusiveness"...that's not happening again.

Any and all who follow, endorse or espouse Trump in any way are included with bad. Which by the way are a great many.
You are a practitioner of false equivalencies. But that's not unusual.

Mostly all self-serving. Just disgusting. I didn't like the D's all that much more but I found them
to be somewhat honest and more of thoughtful interested group, interested in governance and
progress for the nation.
Reagan was a huge turn-off. He was a mean spirited Matre'd full of no ideas or policies and the rest
of the party went in that direction and haven't stopped going horribly wrong since.
There have been very few R's I like, respected over the years - I was a huge John McCain person.
I didn't like all his policies, but I felt he was interested in the nation and its future. I could very well
have voted for him in 2000. But really - a smattering of R's have been impressive since. Adam Kinzinger
is one who comes to mind right now. (I do think Cheney has done the right thing by joining the 1/6 committee
but really am not in line with her policies and her lineage) After that, no one.
I'd definitely would like to like and agree with republicans but I just can't stoop that low. My standards
are much higher and that doesn't take much when considering the R's as a whole.
I'd like to see a third party - Maybe trump can begin one and take all the dipshit R's with him giving rise
to a better republican party. Being partisan isn't a choice when seeing what the R's offer at this time or
what they've offered over the last many decades.
You're the last one to be criticizing anyone about anything.

As I look at the leadership ranks it is pretty disappointing (both sides). Elected leaders seem way too old... too interested in scoring points... no room for reasonable debate..
elected are on both sides of the aisle.
Yes, there many on the D's side I disagree with, and some I strongly disagree with including questioning their motives.
And a couple who could be considered harmful to the nation.
With the R's - I can say without reservation I disagree politically and policy wise with all of them but note that more than
not, they are a despicable lot of self-serving harmful to this country elected officials and wannabe elected officials.
I include M. McConnell, L. Graham, Rand Paul, DeSantis among a whole slew of them. The dishonesty amongst
the R. Party is rampant. Yeah, there are a few in the D's who suffer from being a bit dishonest but make no mistake
there isn't an equivalency here.
We are surely in different political camps. I would say that I was moderate ( FWIW I have voted both R, D and I over the past few election cycles) but have become more conservative over time.
I think my positions have remained largely consistent... and perhaps as you say a new party will emerge for those of us in the middle.
If you are a podcaster, not a bad discussion from this weekend between Ben Shapiro and Bill Maher ... certainly things to like and hate from both of them.

Thus his daily tantrums.

Guess yesterday was a real blow.
The host saw the vid of VP Harris alluding to, implying that, or actually saying as fact, that Ukraine is a NATO nation. The transcript of the speech was quickly corrected and big tech did their part. Fox showed the vid of her commments, then side by side the transcript of her original comments and the transcript that was corrected by the WH. This Jim guy can cry, lie, stomp his little Buster Browns all he wants, but either he just doesn't know because NPR won't cover it or he's lying to everyone here. He's so unimpressive I guess it doesn't matter what he says.
She's the gift that keeps on giving. Ds control Hollywood, music industry, media, education, unions, sports and the Rs control the narrative? Many of these Rs couldn't punch their way out of a paper bag. Their own shadow frightens them. Their mission is to cozy up with the NYT. And the Rs control the narrative? I still think the Rs will find a way to screw up the midterms.
It is almost comical
"we all watched the television coverage of just yesterday. That’s on top of everything else that we know and don’t know yet, based on what we’ve just been able to see. And because we’ve seen it or not doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened"

Climate Change and voter suppression will only take you so far. Getting hit in the bank account effects pretty much everyone.
their ass off? : See Tyrone
The Rs are habitual lying machines and they use that to "inform" their voters.
But you may have point since the majority no longer believes the MSM spinning heads.
