Hmmm...One more American owner, one more possible supporter of European Super League (ESL).
Hope soccer fans here stand up against Americanizing European soccer if this ESL thing comes back in the future.
The pillar of European soccer is competitions in it's hierarchy systems from its grassroot amateurs all the way to highest elite level through mechanism of promotion and relegation. Soccer is made from grassroots, not made for TV (money). ESL is everything against what soccer has been for over 150 years.
Hopefully a new owner will invest in a finisher for the club.
That is the one piece they are missing. A reliable threat to consistently score. Someone along the lines of Salah, Son, Renaldo, Kane, etc.

Would be very surprised if the deal does not pass muster. Boelhy’s offer has been vetted for weeks.
Do not know much about him, but Boehly has been a serious bidder for a few years. He is known as fan friendly, which was a big factor for those approving the deal, above and beyond commitment to renovate Chelsea’s stadium in West London.
Good. Supporters will need to get behind the new owners.
