Mephisto for all styles is now my go to although, I won't purchase them anywhere but at a Mephisto store.
I can't get the correct size any other way. Their licensees seem to have different size charts for feet and
most shoes stores don't have a full collection of their product.
They are no longer made in France so there is that too.
They were one of the first to come out with the dress shoe with a durable sole so I liked that.
Brooks are good for running. I like Clark’s for a brogue/casual shoe. Dress shoes, I like the Nordstrom house brand. All 3 fit my feet well and are very comfortable for me.

attire. I like Ecco as well. Just bought a pair of Wolf and Shepherd loafers. Freaking amazingly comfortable shoes.
I like On Cloud x training shoes where sneakers are concerned.
New Balance for running of late.
To be honest though, mostly wear Olukai flip flops between April and October...

Oh, and btw, when God handed out class, cool, and taste, I was first in line.
Fact.
now at my NB990s...also enjoying Nike's recently discontinued 'Air Zoom' summertime golf shoes for all day playing/lounging.

….is the day that I will invite you all to kick me squarely in my groin. And repeat the kick, only with more force on your second effort.
Have never heard of Mephisto until now.
Coming from Jim, it makes sense.

Yes, they have Mephisto, but they also carry about a hundred more brands and they custom-make shoes, too. I have a relative with even wider feet than me, and they custom-designed the perfect shoes for him. My guess is that if you send them the exact dimensions of your foot, they can find something for you, based on your needs.

And seeing they get me around the world - I like to pamper them as much as possible.

better than Nike. Saucony are decent for running, I have a pair of those (not cheap either). Wilsons for Tennis.
Thanks for suggestion though -
And you, what is your go to?
Growing up, Adidas ran a little wider, so I preferred them. Plus, I always thought they looked sharper than Nikes.

I wear them to school with pride occassionally because the students and my principal get such a kick out of them. I celebrate that I've reached a point in life when I can put on white New Balances, fleece shorts, black dress socks, and an ag supply red hat and mow the lawn without a scintilla of self-consciousness.
The next transition, up to the home, should be relatively painless.
