travel, though, it's an extremely efficient use of time and talent...highly paid executives...and political leaders...don't waste hours in airports waiting for flights that might be delayed or cancelled...once on their jet they can actually work on preparations for their upcoming meetings which could involve confidential material that could never be discussed "in coach"...once at their destination, if more time is needed than planned, they can remain there and leave when appropriate...then, on the flight back, they can again work freely to digest what they've heard and begin to plan changes when they are back in their offices.
These are the experiences I've known and suspect that others have as well...
